I bought 1 December 2 2014, remote control did not work out of the box,Keyboard didn't worl on the whole left side properly. I had to press down hard on that half to get any of the letters or number to work.. Zzounds doesn't carry parts so I called Chauvet,they sent me a working remote. Never got a keyboard. Jan 2 2015 the light wouldn't turn on at all when I got to my gig. Sent it back and got a replacement. the 2nd unit wasn't packaged well, it was in a box way bigger than the unit with a crumpled up piece of butcher paper..Unit was damaged. It had something loose inside of it. Laer was barely visible. Sent it back last week TODAY i got my 3RD unit and it did not work at all. plugged it in and the front led just flashed the entire time. Sending it back for a refund. Zzounds rep said he would look into all of them to see if they were sent a bad batch. **Now here's the review for the 4 weeks it did work. Remote only works if you AIM AT THE FRONT of it. There are a few patterns it does only in the music music mode that you cant access from the keyboard,good ones too. the ability to write anything and make them does all sorts of things was AWESOME. I did a couple of events where I wrote the company name and the couples names and at the clubs I could instantly write a shout out to beam across the place with the persons name. So many compliments at every party & venue from patrons, DJs and club owners. The built in holiday and other patterns were so hot and being able to recall them at the press of a button was great. the laser was really bright except for the edges.Too bad they proved unreliable. I think American DJ should come out with one since chauvet has a $300 piece of junk here. Great idea poorly executed. It's like 1 of those Lamborghini kit cars over a Fiero chassis....
