"I would suggest anyone looking to buy an mp3 player to consider the Zen Extra. It has exceeded my expectations in every way."

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
I have owned my Creative Zen Extra for 1 year now and haven't experienced any problems. Battery life is great, sound is wonderful, and the software easy to use. I use this product aprox. 4 hours per day for seven days a week on average.
Sound
The supplied earbuds are really bad. A fine pair of headphones included would be a vast improvement even if the price is a little more.
Features
I love the features but the off on could be improved by a off on button instead of pushing a button until players reads shutting down which takes about 3 seconds
Quality
It looks sharp and plays sharp. If there are any weaknesses it would be the removable front which seems to be frail but so far hasn't given me a problem
Value
Compare the price and quality to Ipod and there is simpley no comparson. Ipod is very expensive and if the battery goes bad you need to send it to Ipod and they will replace it for aprox. 90 dollars or more. Plus the quality of the sound in my opinion beats Ipod hands down.
Manufacturer Support
I emailed them with a problem and received a prompt answer that resolved my problem immediately.
The Wow Factor
It is larger than Ipod but has a very appealing all alumniun case and a blue backlit window which is easy to read the info. I also purchased the small travel speakers which have a great look and wonderful sound.

"Great stuff, but beware"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Get it, but beware of the crappy support.
Sound
The sound quality is perfect, best sound I have ever heard on an MP3 Player.
Features
Everything you need.
Quality
It is sturdy but on both of mine the sound stopped playing out of one ear and I had to send it back.
Manufacturer Support
TERRIBLE! They simply tell you to send back the product rather than telling you how to solve problems. Worst support I have ever gotten.
The Wow Factor
Kind of ugly, but much nicer looking then the I-Pod.
