"Crate V1512 Guitar Amp"
I bought this amp a few years back...I play harmonica and guitar....I've played a lot different amps...this thing cranks out the dirt. If your a harp player you'll never have to worry about getting drown out by your bandmates! Match with a green bullet and say yeah! Only one drawback is the weight....it's not light like a Fender jr.
Musical Background:
I gig with a few bands professionally....Floyd Lee,Renee' and the Derelicts and Eliza Neals.

Blues and rock

"Crate V1512 Guitar Amp"
A great small amp that produces BIG,FAT,JUICY tone....priced ridiculously low for the amount of amp you get! Had to change the speaker to an Eminence RED FANG to smooth out the lows, because the amp is too much amp for the speaker it comes with....
Musical Background:
50 year veteran musician thats owned almost every amp out there

I choose this amp because it's a fire breathing dragon compared to Fender or Carvin. Let me put it this way the higher the gain the better the sound. Try doing that with the other two amps that I mentioned here. The SLM v1512 is really a wolf in sheeps clothing. I would recomend this amp to any guy who calls himself a pro. Nuff said I've got to get back to the beast it's calling me.
Sound
Very basic controls with a small verb. The cleans are good for most aplication but this amp was not made with clean in mind. But if you look behind the grille thats where you'll find the beast, and once you unleash the beast a huge smile will appear on your face. Talk about a sleeper its not even a Crate its made by SLM the same people who built Ampeg. Pick your posion when it comes to blues or rock and the beast will do the rest. Got a humbucker laying around? Give it to the beast and the word narvana comes to mind. I cant say enought about this amp in stock form, but if you do a few mods as many have done your in the boutique zone.
Features
Its bassic. A better reverb would have been nice.
Quality
Built like a tank. It weights 38 lbs and the way I see it, it's over built. 5 yr warranty and Ampeg is the manufacturer.
Value
The street price is excellent right now.
Manufacturer Support
I doubt you will ever need to call them.
The Wow Factor
It has a nice retro look about it. Pleaseing to the eye.
