As a mobile DJ, I will use this as my back-up amp and to sometimes power my subwoofer. Occasionally, I will use it for PA applications.
Sound
Rich & powerful sound.
Features
This is a very versatile box mixer and can be used for band/DJ applications. I like how you can bridge it MONO so you can run a subwoofer. I would like to see a EQ on/off indicator switch for each channel. The carry handle is on the side and I think Crate should have mounted it on the top to make it easier to carry. All I did was unscrew it from the side and mount it on the top.
Quality
Solid construction. It seems durable. Crate has a great rep for building quality sound equipment.
Value
I paid $400. There are some box mixers that cost more and some that cost less. This particular model is 5 years old and discontinued.

How about a dust cover?
The Wow Factor
Before purchasing the Crate, I bought 2 Alto box mixers, both of which were defective upon first using. There was not much else in stock. I admit that Crate was not my first choice, but I am glad I purchased it.
