"AMAZING AMP"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
ITS AMAZING
Sound
This amp is amazing. I use it with my Gibson SG and it sounds absolutely awesome. The distortion and clean channels are CRYSTAL CLEAR! The 30 effects built into the amp provide a wide variety of effects and tweaks you can add to your particular sound. This amp is perfect for me because I love to play hard rock and soft clean music. This amp is L-O-U-D. The sound quality is one of a kind, and very expressive. It gives me just the right sound for my liking. I can't wait to use it when I play for 2 weeks at a camp.
Features
The foot switch that comes with this amp is a great tool for quickly switching between the channel. The DSP effects are easy to use, and versitle. The features on this amp are simply perfect.
Ease of Use
Getting the right sound from this amp is as easy as breathing. I love a clear overdrive distortion. The difference between this amp and my old one is Heaven and Hell.
Quality
This amp was made well, and was in perfect condition when it arrived at my place. This amp has the look of a man's amp. I am not going to hesitate to take it on road or on trips. I can see this amp lasting me a LONG time.
Value
I bought this amp for 250$ and it was worth every single penny.
The Wow Factor
THis amp looks like a tank. It is very good looking, and I will not be ashamed to use it on stage.

Its a great amp. If you need something LOUD and durable. I recommend getting this amp.
Sound
This thing sounds great. And its pretty loud.I pretty much always use the clean channel and use seperate effects for distortion and stuff.Don't really use rythym and solo channel, but they do sound good just not better then my tubescreamer. I used to use a digitech rp300a for all my effects but I urge you not to use it. Now I use a ibanez ts9 and dunlop wah and they sound awesome with this amp and my strat.
Features
Effects are great. Chorus, Delay, Reverb and stuff is all good. Footswitch is great but since I only use one channel I don't use it.
Ease of Use
A child can use it.
Quality
Holds together great. Had it for a over a year and its been pretty faithful. There's a warning that says don't take out in the rain without a cover but I don't have a cover and I have dragged it through the rain and snow alot and it still works perfectly.(not that thats important). I don't recommend having it sit out in the rain though.
Value
Worth every penny, maybe even more.
Manufacturer Support
Never called them. Probably will never have to.

"Love at first SOUND"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
The only thing I want is MORE POWER!!!! I hook the amp into 2 E.V. 12'S and this blows the room away.
Sound
This thing does exactly what I want it to when I need it, right now im playing through a Digitech RP300A (wouldnt recomend)(Im trying to get the BOSS GT-6) and a Jackson Randy Rhoads and this thing is balls off awesome, LOW'S-feels like you have a 15" hooked into it MID'S-dont use them HIGH'S- sounds like there is a tweeter in there. There's 2 rival bands we have one kid owns a marshall half, and the other band has 2 Randall 2-12 combos, this thing shows them up time and time again.
Features
I've never had a problem with the effects memory at all I use them alot and they just keep impressing me.
Quality
I take it everywhere and its built solid. At first I was afriad to turn it up and at gig's the aduience was saying turn it up, I cranked it all we get back was "Damn you guys are awesome". The only way to mess up the speakers is to put sharp objects in the back. COSMETIC? WHO THE HELL CARES it could be painted pink for all I care, it sounds too good.
Value
I think it should be selling for more, with the DSP's you dont have to mess around with 50 stomp boxes.
The Wow Factor
When I first looked at this amp, I said im testing this one out first, i never tried the marshall. I tried the randall (too muddy) the peavey (muddy) and I went home that day with the Crate.

"Crate make another top notch amp."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I think the only way of beating this product is to get a marshall stack to be honest. I can't see myself getting rid of this amp any time soon, if ever.
Sound
The amp is incredibly clear, and powerful, no matter what setting that you use on it. Solo channel brings a beautiful crunch and earsplitting harmonics, clean channel brings beautifully clean and powerful notes, and rhythm is very good on the whole.
Features
Only beef I have with my amp (I don't know if anyone else's does this), but whenever I change channels, reverb turns itself off, and also the bass, middle and high settings for rhythm affect the solo channel. Other than that the features are amazing.
Ease of Use
Its easy to use, simple as. Volume knobs are all lethal, and I love that the most.
Quality
The product looks like a rock. 2 incredibly big, sturdy speakers, the wires are thick, nothing accidental could possibly snap them. I'd definitely take it out on the road, I don't think it'd ever break, unless it gets old and starts to rot a bit.
Value
I bought this amp on sale for 150 pounds, and its the best thing I've ever bought.
Manufacturer Support
I've never spoken with Crate about this amp. But if I did I'd have nothing but praise.
The Wow Factor
Sex appeal is through the roof; futuristic, and I know that there's a lot more I can do with this amp than what I currently do.

"It's great, and I would definitely recommend it to any rock or country player..."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I expect it to last awhile, I've had it since '03, it's great for what I play, if it was stolen, I'd want another one just like it....
Sound
It's great, I've got a lot of compliments about my sound, I play a Fender Strat through mine, I've played a few gigs with this amp, I bought it back in '03, and I'm still using it...I love it.
Features
I love all 3 channels, the lead one screams, and the clean one sounds great, I switch back and forth all the time, the rhythm channel is good for '70's rock, and the effects are great.
Ease of Use
I can get a good Metallica sound, good 80's rock sound, and a good southern rock one also, the clean channel is really good too, the manual explains everything good.
Quality
It is made well, it's definitely durable for the road, I think it will last a long time.
Value
You bet!
