For the price you're not going to get a better classical guitar anywhere. The craftsmanship is astonishingly good, the neck is dead straight, fretwork and finish are flawless, sound is crisp and round and deep. Cons are the machine heads are not the best so they can slip a bit. I plan to replace them with some high quality Schaller machine heads. The other con is the action is way too high and it needs a setup and intonation adjustment. So if you want to watch a few youtube videos on how to file down a classical nut and file and intonate a saddle, you're good to go. Or you can get a luthier to do it for you. So all in with the new tuners and some tools, you'll come in at about the $450 dollar range for a guitar that sounds much more expensive and stays perfectly in tune, or around $550 if you have a luthier set it up. That's an amazing value.

"Spruce top opens up a new world of sound"

I own the c5 cedar and bought this c5 spruce to see what the difference is. I have never owned a spruce top classical. I bought a "very good" c5 spruce. It came packaged very well. When I took it out of the box, I was very happy. Such a beautiful guitar. I could not find anything wrong with it. It had nice action, easy to play. It was severely out of tune, that's all that was wrong with it. Maybe I'm going blind, but I could not find a single dent or scratch. All looked well.
Sound
This guitar really projects and is loud. The trebles really stand out and sing. The bass strings were just as bright, yet strong.
Features
There's a truss rod. My guitar came with good action.
Ease of Use
It is very easy to get the sound you want. I'm glad I bought it because it sounds quite different than my c5 cedar. I was hoping that the sound would be it's own and I was not dissapointed.
Quality
As far as I can tell, this guitar was well built. The tuners seem to stay in tune pretty well, there are no burrs on the fret ends, and the action was setup well.
Value
I believe this guitar is of good quality. It may be mass manufactured, but they must be pretty exacting because this guitar seems like a more expensive guitar. I'm absolutely glad for this purchase.
Manufacturer Support
I have not yet had interaction with Cordoba.
The Wow Factor
This guitar fills a void, that being a spruce top.

"Cordoba C5 Spruce Top Nylon-String is amazing"

This is my first Cordoba C5 from zZounds, the guitar as I can tell is in flawless condition. The spruce top really brightens and adds definition to individual notes. The more delicate you play, the more nuanced and sweet it sounds. It plays beautifully. The action was just right (for a classical guitar), no buzz, easy to fret, neck shape is comfortable and smooth.Construction/Appointments: The gloss finish is impeccable and makes the mahogany back and sides look great. Overall, it's a good-looking guitar.

"Wasn't happy at all."

I bought the standard Cordova C5 first and sent it back because it had rusty strings, high action and tuning pegs that wouldn't stay in tune. Then I order the C5 Spruce top and it had a decent sound, the frets had burrs on the side of the fretboard that literally scratched the palm of my hand ! The action is incredibly high, too. The guitar was very pretty, but I fear these guitars are being mass produced so fast that the luthiers are giving them the attention they need. Burrs on the frets? That's just irresponsible guitar building right there, let alone quality checking. zZounds was absolutely amazing during this whole process. None of this falls back on them. I put everything on Córdoba. To be honest, they didn't even really sound that great either. I'm sorry, I've never left a bad review, but I got two subpar guitars with a week and I felt it needed to be said. Thanks.
