I’m a huge fan of this pedal. The sound and the effect the preamp has on your tone is awesome (to my ears). It makes my clean tone shimmer, adds fullness to a dry signal, and has a lot of modes to experiment with. Now the downsides. It’s clearly not cheap. I’m struggling to make good use of the expression pedal capabilities aside from echo volume and delay time. The delay can also overload an overdriven amp. So you either need to turn gain after the pedal down or run gain before it. It’s not my only delay. I run a digital delay in the effects loop of my amp. I think that’s probably the best way to approach this pedal and not get frustrated with it. It’s incredibly good at what it does, but it won’t do everything.

This is purely a review on the quality of the product itself not based on the sound. For the price I am beyond disappointed on the quality of this pedal. The knobs are gritty, and make a noise when you twist them. They are so tall that your toes will hit them every time you turn the pedal on and off. The on/off buttons feel fragile, they won’t last very long. One the most infuriating things about this pedals design is the expression switch. It’s a inch away from the on off switch and like with everything else on this pedal feels fragile and will most likely get stepped on and broken off. The box is grey and the labeling is light blue which makes reading the pedal harder than it should have to be. Over all I’m feeling stupid for spending $400 after tax on this pedal.

Hey all garbage pale kids out there in Tupac land. This is the Epoch Delay. The effect pedal that’s going to do great things when it grows up and maybe even save a company from the depths of hell. It will assist you on your sonic journey and might even help you find Animal Chin. Lay down all you’re other delay devices and worship the one true Slapback god. Worship no false idols before it.....The Epoch Deluxe Delay will save your wretched soul, soul, soul!
