Breedlove Solo Concert Cedar 12 Acoustic-Electric Guitar (with Gig Bag), 12-String

This 12-string version of Breedlove's most-loved body shape delivers luscious overtones with a robust low end that you can feel, but that isn't overbearing.

This Guitar is amazing. I'm a singer/songwriter who's been playing guitar for over 40 years. I played funk, rock, R&B, and now Contemporary Christian/Gospel. As a wanna be rock star and now church musician, I was extremely reluctant to buy a guitar without picking it up, playing it, listening it and "feeling" it. But after researching several guitars I took a leap of faith and purchased the Breedlove Solo Concert 12 string. Obviously, I was nervous about the purchase. As soon as I opened the box and picked up the guitar all of my fear disappeared. It plays like a dream. Intonation is consistent across the neck. I thought the body shape would cheat me out of tone quality. Was I ever wrong. The tone is deep, rich, balanced and bright. The sound is clear and moving. The tuner is easy to read and perfectly located. For the first time I feel like I have more than an instrument when singing in church. I feel like I have a partner in ministry. I am a discriminating, penny-wise shopper. This guitar meets my personal standard of being a high quality instrument that looks good, plays great and dollar-for-dollar is a great value. So much so that I am now purchasing the stage concert 6-string guitar.

Musical Background:

Been playing guitar for 40+ years. Also play bass, organ, piano and drums.

Musical Style:

Presently, Christian. used to play in Country, Rock, Funk, Hip-Hop, R&B and Top 40 bands.

My first 12 string and it’s a lot of fun. Out of the box the Guitar is very nice. Action slightly high for me but very playable. The pinless bridge makes string change faster. The tuning machines are very stiff but may loosen up. The Guitar looks very well made and the finish is nicely glossy. The built in tuner is nice but hard to get just right with the stiff tuners on this one. The finger board is nice and the frets are well done. The headstock is a bit odd....hard to clip a tuner to....an in-line tuner is helpful if plugged..not a huge fan of the porthole thing but it’s ok. great buy for the money. zZounds made it very easy, as always. This is a great upper entry 12 string that is good enough to grow with.

Musical Background:

35 years of light gigging. 6 string , piano, violin.

Musical Style:

Rock blues country folk and a bit of everything else.
