I had purchase the Stage Concert from Breedlove with laminate Rosewood back and sides and absolutely love the sustain and chimy sound the guitar produced. I also wanted to have a mahogany top guitar and found an affordably priced Breedlove Pursuit model that had a Mahogany top with laminate Sapele back and sides. This is a more forward sounding guitar with great articulation and warm tones. It's not as punchy as a spruce top but for singer-songwriters, or those that just want to play in a room by themselves this guitar won't over power you. As usual,l quality and finish is superior but both guitars did need some setup, but that's a given with many new guitars. In the case of the Stage Concert the action was too low and I was getting a buzz on the low E. With the Pursuit Dreadnought, the action was high to low with an adjustment needed in the neck. No big deal. Both sound great and if you're in the market for a quality instrument that is as good as a $1000 instrument this guitar is for you. It's a keeper! I would have given it a slightlly higher rating is the setup was a little better., so my "ease of use" rating is rated a slightly lower.

This is a great sounding acoustic. It has a warm crisp tone, Easy to get the sound that I was looking for. I have done some jams with freinds that have vintage high end acoustic guitars and this guitar had no problem playing along with other people that I have been jamming with were loving the tone from this guitar also. This acoustic has killer sustain and when playing every chord has a lot of power to go along with the glistening high notes. Not to mention it looks wicked thats part of the reason that I bought it all the sweet detail it's not just that plain ol acoustic it has a lot of character.

Musical Background:

I have been playing and writing music for 26 years I play acoustic for fun at coffie shops and outdoor laid back events.

Musical Style:

Progressive relaxing instrumental music light rock.
