Upon opening the box I was very happy. The finish is absolutely gorgeous and the Myrtlewood figuring is incredible. I know everyone says it but the pictures do not convey what this guitar looks like at all. It has really rich brown and tan tones that are absolutely stunning. When I picked it up the first thing I noticed is the weight. This guitar is quite a bit heavier than my other acoustics, both which are dreadnaught guitars. It is not ridiculously heavy but heavier than I expected. I am not complaining about that at all because it hangs very well on a strap and the smaller thinner body is much more comfortable to play both standing and sitting than my other 2 acoustics. The action was amazing right out of the box and I have not really been able to put it down since I got it. Another thing that I noticed is that is is very loud for its size which I am extremely happy about. Other small bodies I have owned, including a Taylor 612C, did not have the volume to do any lead work with other acoustic guitars playing rhythm. This is not the case with this guitar.

After being in communion with my Ibanez Talman accustic electric for better part of the year (that i greatfully purchased from zZounds), i was finally able to pull up some of that rocking chair money and upstage my retirement with that Breedlove integrity my lefthand always wanted to get grip of. So i threw down a small piece of plastic cash coming in every month for my providence on an all Myrtlewood ECO Pursuit EX S Concert A CE Model... and I am in BreedLove! All i can do is compare her to the 'Ol woman that has been hanging committedly on my neck for 42 years and say... "BadazZ Gorgeous" ...in every way ...from how she looks, sounds, and plays! Just "BadazZ Gorgeous" is all i can say... and tip my glass to the "BadazZ Gorgeous" recommendation zZounds gave to me in the getting. Leaves ya feeling like titties and beer on your birthday.
