Bought this guitar without having played one before. zZounds has a very nice return policy if you aren't happy with the purchase it's returnable within 45 days I believe. I wanted an all mahogany guitar and I was considering the Marin 000-15 which is a really nice all mahogany guitar too. The Breedlove won out because of play ability. To me it plays nicer and easier. As far as sound goes this guitar sounds amazing. The cliche often used with a mahogany guitar is balanced. It is very true. It is very balanced with a nice subtle low end.. If you are looking for volume or a loud guitar this may not be for you but I can't wait to record it. I tried the pickup very briefly nothing special but nice to have. To recap I find this guitar to be very versatile whether you are finger picking or strumming it won't disappoint. for $1300 dollars and American made I feel it is a good value. You can not submit this review without giving the manufacture support a rating. I gave it 3 starts but I never had to contact them so that rating means nothing.

I bought this without even playing it and I'm glad I did. It was between this USA Frontier concert and the Martin 000-15. I liked the Martin also and was looking for an all mahogany guitar. The Breedlove has a beautiful smooth and mellow sound. Someone reviewed it on YOUTUBE and said I'm paraphrasing thumping him in the chest. It not that kind of guitar. If you are looking for volume and power this isn't for you. But it has great tone with a nice subtle low end and for me plays a little nicer than the Martin. Of course zZounds took the risk out of the purchase with a generous return policy but I won't have a need to return this one. It didn't wow me looking at it but it sure made up for it in the other categories. Also I had no need for manufacturer support so I just gave it a three because it had to be populated.
