I heard about this pedal 2 weeks ago, it was released last Thursday and zZounds had it at my door the very next day. I realize the purpose of this pedal is for drop tune style playing which I do not play. I'm old school GenX and I play standard tuning. I have for 30+ years and will probably never drop tune. I use this pedal as a 'whammy' style pedal, and as a stand alone pitch shifter for guitar harmonies. There is a slight learning curb as this pedal is not as easy to operate as the actual whammy pedal because the whammy only has 1 knob, you have to work to get great tones out of the XS-100. I've only played it for about an hour since I got it, but it sounds so good. Boss was really lacking a quality sounding pitch shifter. The EHX Pitchfork and Digitech Whammy polyphonic pitch shifts sound so amazing, and the Boss pedals were lacking in this field, but not no more. Boss has really stepped up their pitch shifting game with the XS-100.
