My wife got me this amp for my birthday, it is light years better than my old line6 spider iv 75w. The functions are super user friendly, I just plugged in and started experimenting. The tone is absolutely incredible, I love the waza speaker it sounds super tight and punchy. I bought it for modern metal, but found out the vintage mode with the pushed amp setting and bloom switch , with a little reverb , and boost has such an enjoyable tone. I got it yesterday and I can't wait to play for hours longer tonight.

Okay. I am 65 years old and I started playing in like 1977 . I didn't get serious until the early 80s and I've owned a lot of good tune amps and a lot of bad amps. This is a good amp period. PERIOD !!!!. I play both clean and with lots of gain. This amp can do anything from Roland type cleans all the way to EVH searing gain. If you use Boss Tone Studio which is easy to download and install if you follow the directions at the Boss website you can add loads of effects and then save up to I think it's 8 presets. Of course to change presets you will need the foot switch, but it's worth it. I'm going to be using the Airstep ex footswitch which allows you to change presets and bypass the Boss blue tooth dongle and use Boss tone studio on your phone to interact with the amp and its presets because the Airstep EX is Bluetooth. So what I'm trying to say is you can setup 8 I think it is or 9 preset sounds with or without effects . These are Boss effects and they sound really good. It has a great Parametric EQ that allows you to get rid of the annoying rumble and ear piercing treble eq that competes with the rest of your band members like the bass player and the singer and the symbols, etc. Or, you can just play using the knobs on the amp, but you can really dial in your tone using the Boss tone studio. I am at this point using an old laptop with my amp. You can't go wrong with one of these amps. For you guys that are like me and like high gain for lead and metal this amp is killer. If you like Crunch or edge of break tones this amp is killer. Of course zZounds are great to deal with and they give people like me on a budget a great way to get gear with monthly payments with no interest. Shipping is unbelievably fast. I think I reckoned the amp in two days and really didn't expect that. I just ordered a killer Ibanez guitar and got it in one day. They answer all my questions promptly and if the gear isn't to your standards you can return it as long as it's in original condition. No better deal anywhere.
