"Great little amp"

This Combo amp from Blackstar is a great, versatile little amp and it really shines on the overdrive settings while in the 20 watt mode. You are able to get just about every type of sound or tone that you are searching for with this bad boy and for being a single-speaker amp it is capable of producing nice thick tones, it's really quite impressive. It has plenty of head room and volume to gig with for small venues. The clean tones are good, but don't expect to be able to match the volume of the clean with the volume of the overdrive without having some breakup on the clean channel. Overall though I don't think you can do better considering the price for an all tube combo amp. this is a versatile tube amp that can range from zepplin-esq tones to maximum overdrive metal, you got it with this little bad boy

I just bought this amp from zzounds EL84s most of the time I have always used 6L6s in my amps this lil combo really kicks butt I wanted something lighter with tubes I'm not a tube snob even thow I do prefer the sound of tubes I still use digital, and or transitor amps if they sound good. This blackstar is all tube not to heavy great for small gigs practice and purrs with tone the cleans are remarkable over drive is crunchy and smooth takes pedals with no problems thanks to zZounds it's possible to get music equipment..

Been a Marshall player for years and wanted something with the same, if not more bite in a small and lightweight design. Basically comes out of the box with 4 different drive settings on the included footswitch, so as a pedal player that is great. But just the overall tone sounds great and im loving the ease of transporting it around.

Not Much In Giving Reviews But What i can say Hopefully Reaches the next Buyer. The Brown Sound is there and More, Cleans are Cleans, Overdrive has it . I play my Overdrive not over the top just a little to hear the break up specially for softer songs sounds Really Good.A Little bit Heavy but not a Back breaker.

Absolutely love the clean and overdrive tones on this amp! Wonderful sound, size and weight but....Had a bad rattle, opened up back and one speaker mounters screw was stripped out. The sound board the speaker mounts to is chip board, and a chunk was gone for one of the speaker mount screws so I had to fill in and glue....All back together now but still has a noticeable rattle on low notes...bummer because amp sounds awesome.

zZounds is the best! They read my review of this amp and offered a replacement so I took them up on it and the new HT20 MkII is amazing! Love this amp over my Marshall DSL and Fender Blues Jr LTD...It has the Fender cleans with beautiful new reverb and the drive side goes from my DSL to Soldano..2 watt switch for practice sounds great and the full 20 watts all tube is glorious...Thanks zZounds!!
