I needed something to cut higher frequencies without losing the crisp sound of my snare. The pitch is lowered, the higher frequency cut without loss of dynamic range or volume. Very nice! I'm going to order the even lower pitch ring. The church worship leader likes the 80's snare sound and this gives us a little deeper snare on demand.
