"Excellent low-cost unit with big results"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I realize this unit has no been available for a long time, but I had to write this becasue the only other "review" is useless. The idiot HAD TO have connected it wrong or not turned on the circuits to the active mode. Those are the ONLY two rational explanations. Except if it was a defective unit. This unit kick-ass!! It is a fantastic, low-cost, low-noise (as long as the tubes are good), high-quality piece of equipment. The sound difference beween active and off (or if by-passed) is incredible. Much richer sound and transparency. The surround matrix control allows for a wider sound-field to be heard from stereo material. The controls have to be adjusted with care because they make a HUGE difference in the output. I could go on and on about it. SO glad I bought one of these before they were sold out. I don't know about customer support from Behringer since the unit has worked flawlessly for 10 years.

"Great Warm Full Sound"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
the T1954 gives me a great warm full sound. It's amazing on vocals and quite noticable on guitars and keyboards. other companies' poor copies cost 5 times more and don't have the range of controls.
