So yeah these are great for the money. You wont find a better 10" PA speaker for this low of a price and they are very light. You guitarists, get a Crate Power block or a Stewart PA100/PA200 and your favorite modeling pedal and one or two for stereo of these S1020's and move into the 21's century. For bass they work great with modeling for a situation where you could use a single 10 speaker. PA - very loud and light weight, excellent bass, awsome coverage
Sound
For the price - it kicks but. The sound is pretty a balanced and has great bass, for a 10" speaker. I actually use it with stewart PA100 bridged (180watts) for my guitar rig with a Pod xt. I occasionally use it for bass because it is very efficient, quit loud and has excellent bass again for a 10". Tweeter can be alittle harsh when pushed to the limit but not really that bad. These are great for Modeling guitar/bass, acoustic guitar and vocals
Features
I prefer 1/4" jacks as opposed to those overpriced Speakon connectors. Speakon's are great but for working musicians make your cables way too expensive.
Ease of Use
Plug them in to your amp and they work great.
Quality
Very solid, light weight (20lbs). They arent Bagend but the will hold up will a little care.
Value
They don't take tons of power but because they are very eficient complared to most 10" PA speakers, SPL is high. For example: The Yamaha 10's are 95db and these are 98db- you need half the power for the same spl. Th Behringer B212's are only 93db( you need 4 times the power for those) Plus I can buy 4 put them on stands and get way better coverage and louder than just two regular speakers and for a smalller price and weight. I don't think there is a better value
Manufacturer Support
never needed it
The Wow Factor
I wanted it and I bought it. I now have 4 that i put on stands. The combined weight is 80lbs and they replace Some Yamaha 115iv (15, horn) which weigh 61 each(122 lbs total). Saving 42 lbs. I get better coverage, just as much bass, same spl and using less power. So yeah these are great for the money
