"Sounds great but not reliable"

We bought two NX6000's for our classic rock/country band, which doesn't play out too often, maybe 8-10 times/year. After six or seven shows, one amp has completely failed, just turned off while we were playing, with no warning, no loud pop, no drama. We are old guys in our 50's playing for older people at our local Eagles club, so not all super loud, running at 8 ohms pushing a single 18" and a Yamaha S115 cab per side, using good 12ga speaker wire and connectors. Seems these amps have a reputation for losing their power supply boards, which is what I think happened to ours. There's quite a bit on the web about this. My take: they are great sounding amps that are unfortunately not something you can't rely on, possibly due to lack of quality workmanship/components. They are dirt cheap however so some will say we got what we deserved but still was hoping to get more than a few gigs before I started replacing them. BTW zZounds seems to be a good retailer, fair pricing, fast shipping, I have no problem with them whatsoever.
