"Has A Preset For Everything"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars

This unit is loaded with great reverbs and makes for a sweet aux/effects (reverb) send. It's worth the $ on that count alone, but it provides all kinds of goodies, too. EQ or compressor on stereo master. Reverb/Delays for vocals and guitars. Chorus for bass. All the basics and a ton of other stuff you may or may not use. Options to create your own presets are basic, yet we created a handful of essential vocal presets that sound way above the price-point of the FX2000. Still working after 6 months steady use.

Love this behringer fx 2000 , people talk bad about Behringer but they make good products at a reasonable price. I never had any of my equipment to fail. This machine makes your music or live gig sound great. Thanks behringer.

"Definatly worth buying if you were broke and on a budget and you only buy one thing than this is it just for the gate or c"

I will keep this untill it dies for sure and even replace it. That being said I will be adding other equipment for stand alone features I love that it did what it said it would do and then some. I don't like the cheap plastic knobs and the midi/mix knobs sticky action
Sound
I use this Unit in between my Mixer and ART PRO VLA II and its a Great Unit for the Price. Most of my equipment must do double duty right now at home in the Studio as well as out on the road in live venues. While I havn't had the chance to use this at a live venue as of yet I really can't wait to try it out the diffrence it made in my recordings was astounding.
Features
as with most Behringer products it has almost too many features. I have not had a chance to use every single one but each effect I have used is editable and saveable
Ease of Use
I found it extremely easy to use. Read the quick Start Guide hooked it up and that was that. I guess it might be intimidateing to some one less educated or experienced but that wasn't the case for me.
Quality
I rate it an 8 on quality because of the cheap plastic knobs and the midi/mix knob gets really stiff about half way around (They may have designed it that way on purpose and if thats the case I wish they hadn't I would of preffered a smooth linear action)it free's back up right past the 1/2 way mark.
Value
I bought the blowout model at 1/2 price and I have to say this unit would of been worth the full price and then some its worked perfectly far exeeding my expectations
Manufacturer Support
I can't Say havn't needed them as of yet.
The Wow Factor
I don't really know how to answer this one so I rated it 6. While not just drop dead gorgeous it definatly added to the overall appeal of my Rack.

"Lots of bang for the buck in an outboard FX processor"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I needed an outboard effects processor to run through the Aux bus on my Tascam Model 24. The Model 24 has some built in effects but they are limited in that no adjustment of individual parameters is possible. So I wanted a rack unit that had a lot of different effects available with the ability to tweak the parameters to find the perfect effect sound. I had an opportunity years ago to play an Eventide H8000FW. Holy moly was that thing nice...but it should be at the price of admission. While that was clearly out of my budget I did some looking to see what was out there. So, after looking online I found this Behringer Virtualizer 3D FX2000 and thought I'd give it a go. This unit does everything I need and more. All the usual suspects are here like Reverb, Chorus, Delay, Flanger, and Phaser. Then there's the Leslie, Tremolo, Vibrato, Speaker sim, guitar amp and so many others. I've got both inputs & outputs hooked up and is setup for a Stereo configuration. There is MIDI capability with this unit but I haven't hooked it up that way just yet. This unit really sounds great. Close your eyes and just listen while you play. Behringer really has done a great job with this unit. Don't be a brand snob. The Virtualizer 3D FX2000 is worth a look and will serve you well in your home studio.Editing is a breeze once you get the hang of it. Click the Edit button to access settings 5 and up. Click it again to go back to 1-4. It's a good idea to keep an eye on the light showing which Settings bank you're in, 1-4 or 5-8. It is easy to think you're adjusting one parameter and not hearing what you expect. All because you're in bank 5-8 instead of 1-4. A nice touch on the front panel is the 4 lights showing which parameter type you're currently adjusting, %, db, Hz, or Sec. The four digit LCD display corresponds to one of the four parameter lights.Click the Mix/Bypass button to hear with and without the effect.Click the Effect button and scroll to one you like. Tweak the settings then save to 1 of the 100 user presets. Once you get the hang of the Mono and Stereo effects and how they differ in the output adjustment, you'll be making adjustments no problem.24 bit dual processor really make the Reverbs sound very nice. You can tweak the settings to dial in exactly what you're looking for. Same for Chorus, Delay, Flanger, and everything else. I'm very happy with the sounds I'm getting out of this unit. It's a steal at this price and you really can't go wrong. I'd definitely buy it again.

Musical Background:

30+ years of playing. I'm in a band, and have a decent home studio setup to record in.

Musical Style:

It's really my own thing. Kinda of a blues rock drop D classic rock mashup.

"Amazing value for the money "

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

Way more than what I expected. I bought this for my Bass rack and wasn't sure I would be able to use much of the effects for my bass but I was way wrong. All the presests are so customizable that you can make almost all of the presets sound good on any instrument. I use this on my bass rig and when at home I plop my rack down on the table and use it in my home studio on guitar, bass and vocals.
Sound
The sound is excellent and very customizable. I was very surprised as this unit is so cheap.
Features
The Jogwheel makes it really quick and easy to skip through pre sets and effects and the midi knob makes it really quick to wet'n or dry up the effects mix and bypass the effects when needed,
Ease of Use
Once you have read the manual and get use to the lay out it is really easy to use and edit. The knobs and jog wheel are very quick and responsive and make changing your settings very quick.
Quality
The unit is built very well. People keep complaining about the Plastic knobs and jog wheel but I like them. They have a rubber coating on them so its easy to grip and they are very responsive. It's made to be in a rack unit so as long as you have it in a decent raod case there should be nothing to worry about. The Frame is metal and display screen is a nice size.
Value
In short IMO you get way more than what you pay for. A great unit for the studio or gigging.
Manufacturer Support
Have not had to use yet.
The Wow Factor
Wow is all I can say.... 129.99 was not expecting this. More effects than I will ever need for my bass and can also use with my home studio. It looks very nice in your rack as well! If it was stolen or damaged I would for sure get another!

Musical Background:

Have been playing bass since I was about 15 (19 yrs). I have done hundreds of gigs at clubs and bars off and on for about 14 yrs

Musical Style:

Hard rock and metal mostly.

"Great effects unit!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I purchased this unit over a month ago. Instructions are a bit sparse, to say the least. But, the downloadable manual helps fill in some voids. I ended up e-mailing Behringer re setups and they were very helpful. However, a more complete manual + a few setup scenarios would be appreciated by most purchasers! Now, the sounds. NICE, the Cologne Cathedral effect is in my mind worth the cost of the unit! The unit has a lot of different effects with a good number tied together ie Chorus/Reverb, Pitch/Reverb etc etc. You will definitely find many to your liking depending on what you play and your style of music. The different effects can be modified as well and stored in the unit for recall. The inputs and outputs consist of Balanced 1/4" (TRS) and XLRs. Soooo, be sure you check the manual carefully or e-mail Behringer if you have any qualms re the setup of the unit and what will work or not! I have set up the unit before the mixer (using Radial DI boxes) and it can be run off the mixer. Any questions TT Behringer. I have run the mixer 3-4 hours EVERY day for over a month and am very pleased with the effects. AND, no problems of any kind.
Sound
I play a digital piano and LOVE the sounds this unit delivers. Initially, I ran the piano thru the unit and then to the mixer. But now am running the unit off the mixer. Both ways give excellent results.
Features
Okay, Behringer needs to improve the manual provided with this unit (and others as well) That said, after you get it all figured out, it is easy to use.
Ease of Use
As I said before, a better manual with more setup scenarios would be very useful. After that, turn it on power up the system and enjoy.
Quality
Well made.
Value
This is a tremendous value based on my experiences to date.
Manufacturer Support
I did e-mail Behringer re setups and the viability of how I set it up. They were very responsive and helpful- VERY.
The Wow Factor
It looks good, but looks are secondary to sounds, and there it shines.

"Impressive!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Very easy to use. The sound quality is much better than many of the vst-plugins I've used, and build quality is really good. Only complaints I have, is that the main jogwheel is a bit too sensitive to my taste and it feels like it might brake down after some years of use, and that it could have more of different delay types.

"This unit is the absolute worst!"

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Like nothing, hate everything about it including the company that pawned it off on me.
Sound
This was the worst investment I've ever made. The thing worked just one time - in practice session. When we got to the gig, it had lost the settings, and just flat stopped having any effect at all. It has never worked since; we pulled it out of the rack and don't even try any more. It has soured me completely on Behringer. Forget the sweet price, and spend a little more to get something that actually works. These cheap pieces of garbage cost much more in the long run.
Features
Nothing about this piece of junk is worth mentioning...though we were able to use the power cord that came with it for other equipment that actually works.
Ease of Use
Programming it was a pain in the rear too. Not user friendly or intuitive at all.
Quality
Junk...undependable. Cheap knobs too -- they break off very easily.
Value
I wouldn't pay a dime for this.
Manufacturer Support
Support? Didn't get a single call back from their automated help line.
