Behringer EPX4000 Europower Power Amplifier (4000 Watts)

No frills here -- just plenty of power for your passive PA. Put this power amp to work pushing 2 x 1200 watts into 4 Ohms, or 4000 watts into 4 Ohms bridged.

"Killer amp at a killer price"

I'm a working musician on a budget so for the power I was looking for there was nothing in my price range. I've had a EP1500 I've used for around 10 years and its never let me down. So I expected the same with the EPX4000. I'm using it to power 2 Peavey 118 Subs (400watts @ 8 ohms each in stereo mono) and the EP1500 to power two PV215 (700watts @ 4 ohms in stereo) through a DOD sr835 crossovers. Its only been 2 gigs but the sound is really amazing, plenty loud and full. I'm only got the EPX set half way and EP 3/4. I plan to get another EPX 4000 for the 215s. Don't believe the hype, you don't have to pay ridicules money, you just have to use it correctly. I would put my system up against anyone's. I had people telling me go get folded horns which is over kill for the clubs we play. zZounds payment plan is great for working musicians and their customer service is second to none. I will use zZounds for future purchases.

I took a chance on this to replace a Crown XTi4000. A while back I got rid of all Behringer in my racks. Man, this amp is solid and gets the job done. I am 100% impressed with the sound and quality this guy delivers. I am running bridged mono aux fed subs to two Yamaha SW118V's. I now have this amp, a Behringer Crossover and the Behringer TN6232 Feedback unit (awesome) and will continue to purchase Behringer.

"Tremendous Value"

I own a small sound company and have used several Behringer amplifiers over the years. This is my 3rd EPX4000 and will be used for my stage monitors. The other two are for my subs in bridged mode. None of these amps have ever let me down. They hold up well to the rigors of being on the road and operated in all kinds of weather conditions. They are simple to operate, take up only two spaces in a rack each, and weigh far less than older amps. The EPX4000 has ample headroom and operates stable in bridged mode. I am very happy with this amplifier.

2 out of 2 behringer EPX4000 amplifiers arrived DOA. Both amplifiers introduced a very loud BUZZ into the system with RCA inputs attached. This happens wheather on or off. I have 2 of the older model EP4000 that have worked great for years so this was quite dissapointing. I will not be buying behringer products anymore.
