"Excellent Mobile DJ setup"

I have been a mobile DJ for 15 years and used many systems. I purchased this because my Peavy Escort 3000 that I have been using for small venues was getting pretty beat up. I wanted something that was just as portable, but I did want more power and bass response. I have not been disappointed with this Berhinger unit! First the positives: The whole system only weighs about 45 pounds. It's light enough to carry by yourself, and not awkwardly shaped and unwieldy like the Peavy was. The sound quality out of this system is also very good. The highs are very crisp, and the lows are punchy enough to get by, especially for a speaker with only an 8" woofer. Cables are high quality, and the whole unit feels very sturdy. The feedback detector is a life saver for bridesmaids and groomsmen who don't have a clue how to use a microphone, forcing you to constantly mess with the volume. There are a couple of downsides to this, but nothing that would sway me from recommending it to others. The storage compartment will hold the included microphone OR the speaker cords and power cord, not both. This unit does not come with speaker stands, but a standard 1 3/8" stand works great. (I bought the JamStands TS50 set to use). Overall this is a fantastic setup for a small to medium sized venue, and will handle most of your needs as a mobile DJ.

Just want I needed. We have a tailgating bus that space is at a premium, this unit fit the bill on several points. Easy to use, compact, great sound for hearing the game, or music to get everyone pumped up. I got tripods to keep them safe. Great success.

I love this product. The feature is awesome and the quality of sound is very very good. I used this for 10 hours straight on a birthday party and this doesn't fail me. My only concern is the plastic material used seems brittle. But, overall. this product is worth the price.

"OVERHEATS AFTER THREE HOURS OF PLAYING"

Overall: 2 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
My EPA 300 let me down and spoiled my two piece bands reputation. After three hours of playing with five minutes breaks in the middle, the EPA 300 started behaving strangely. The volume started going up and down and channels started shutting down. I use the EPA 300 for one guitar, one keyboard and two mics. We are a two piece band and play at small gigs catering to approx 100 guest venues, mostly in doors. The same problem occurred out doors as well as indoors. May be I am using the EPA 300 for the wrong purpose. Can some one enlighten me. This is the second EPA , since the first one just died off and I got this replacement. The agents in Dubai want me to bring the item for repairs. However an electrical and accoustic specialist has advised me that the EPA 300 lacks cooling fans. It is built with only one and that this is not built for multi equipment which generates heat due to usage of high volume low frequency. Cheers Ashaan
