"Great pedal for bass players."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

I am happy as a clam.
Sound
What isn't clearly explained is that when the limiter function is on, it removes some of the treble from your bass sound. The "enhancer" replaces the lost treble, at the expense of some hiss. The mids and lows are not affected at all.
Features
This is the answer for someone who plays fingerstyle and slap/popping in the same song - you can keep your slapping volume from being 1/3rd. louder than fingerstyle.
Ease of Use
Read the 1/2 page manual, and had it set up the way I wanted in 2-3 minutes.
Quality
OK, everyone makes a big deal out of Behringer products being plastic. I have owned and gigged with several for years with nothing broken. I also have Boss, Digitech and Korg pedals, which are all metal encased, and I had problems with the assembly of a Digitech pedal - not so with Behringer.
Value
Best deals in pedals.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't used it.
The Wow Factor
It's not sexy - but it makes playing live MUCH better.

Behringer BLE100 Pedal Customer Review

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

I gave it a 9 overall because I have a hard time opening it to get to the battery . I mean...it is a drag ! But once you get it open its easy to close . If you use a power supply then you dont have to worry . At this price there is no reason why every bass player should'nt have one , its the best piece of equipment you could add . And you should ! BUY IT !!
Sound
It works just as well as the Boss unit . However it will add some noise if you turn up the enhance too much . But so will the Boss .
Features
Limiter evens out the notes so that they are all at the same level , a must when recording . The enhancer works too by putting in some extra highs with out sounding tinnie . But it will add some noise .
Quality
This is my 3rd pedal from Behringer . They are all made of plastic and Im not worried at all . I play on a $3,000 Roland drum kit at church and its made out of plastic !!! I smack them as hard as I want and have no problems so stepping on a pedal till the red led comes on is'nt going to break it . And for $20.....come on !
Value
For the price you cant go wrong .

"You Need Compression? Get This."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
This thing will last a long time. I would totally buy another one if I had to. If it stops working in the near month, I'll have to be very mad, but for now it seems like it'll be up for fun anytime I'm ready for it. It makes my passive basses sound like active ones with a steady sound that is just great.
Sound
As far as sound goes, this thing is on key. It has a great amount of compression and makes it so that I can play my instrument clearly. People never really recognize bass. It's seen as an "easy, unheard" instrument. Not with this thing, it cuts through and gets into people's thick skulls. It does what it's made to do, compress. It limits my highs and eliminates volume peaks and enhances my bass. It does have a his, but live, no one can tell not even you and at home, if its bothering you you can go ahead and purchase a noise suppressor.
Features
It's got all the knobs and features you need. The enhance pot is what you'll be using the most. You basically need this and jumper cable if you have a board. If not, you're gonna want a power supply, seeing as you'll probably have this on at all times you WILL run out fo battery power.
Ease of Use
In order to use this, you need to understand compressors and that turning up all the knobs just makes it terrible sounding for your instrument. But once you get the hang of it, you'll be set. It comes with straight forward instructions explaining what each knob does and gets you comfortable with the pedal.
Quality
It IS made out fo plastic. But it's durable. You're NOT supposed to throw these at people. As long as you treat it like you treat anything you love, it'll be fine. Also for what it does, the price it comes in seems fair. Some people want a special compression and willing to pay as much as thier car to get one. People like me want a soild compression. So this deal in quality is just fine.
Value
Like I said you can spend $80 for a pedal that does the same thing but has a metal casing. This is the best value for a pedal like this for me and has been for many bass players that I know.
The Wow Factor
It looks pretty cool, I like neon colors or a black, but this color is just fine. Looks pretty cool on my pedal board and hey, it makes my sound better no matter how it looks.

"Great Limiter, Get It and Gig With It"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

I would seriously recommend this to a budding bass player. It can really do a lot to affect your sound, especially with a group. I did one audition without this pedal, and one with. The control I had over my dynamics with the limiter was invaluable. I didn't have to apologize to the guitar player every time he says, "I can't hear myself." Even pros could use this thing, but they are too snobby.
Sound
This thing is great for taking out percussive noise, if you are that style of bass player. I like better than a compressor even for dynamic control. It leaves more of your natural dynamics in, but it takes out all the loudest pieces. It does not hurt your natural tone that I can tell, or at least, the overall effect is worth a little bit of tone degradaion. The only complaint I have is the 'enhancer.' I don't use it. It can add back a little sparkle that is maybe lost via the pedal, but I hate how it sounds when it gets overdriven. Putting limiter first doesn't figure for me, but you will have to do so if you use the 'enhance' at all
Features
This has aces as a limiter. As an enhancer, maybe it is Queens.
Ease of Use
This is pretty easy to use. You will use it best if you read a little bit about how a limiter works, but fiddling with the knobs can also get you where you want to go.
Quality
Quality is never a 10 with Behringer, but you know the drill. Plastic housing, rubber that can peel off, jacks that won't take stereo patch cables, etc.
Value
Another familiar category with Behringer. They are nothing if not a good value.
Manufacturer Support
Didn't use.
The Wow Factor
These things don't really make you drool. If you want it, it's probably because you want to try out sound. Utilitarian looks and appeal only.

"Great ability for the price. Shame about the plastic design. It wouldn't stand up to much abuse and the knobs are a bit loose bu"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I bought it because it was cheap and would do the job I would ask of it. I wasn't going to be staping on it a lot... it will be on most of the time so I won't be worrying about it's ability to withstand a serious blow. It should last me a while yet.
Sound
Sounds just as good as any Boss version of this effect, yet a third of the price.

Quality
Grrr! I wish cheap but quality products came in cheap but quality durable cases! Plastic is most certainly not a material I would choose to make something that gets troden on! The pots are a bit loose too, but once set they stay in their position so I guess it's not totally useless.
Value
Great value for money.
Manufacturer Support
I have never needed to contact anyone.
The Wow Factor
If you need one you buy one. There is no sex appeal what-so-ever.
