"Great Guitar for Beginners Like Me"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
This is my 2nd guitar. It plays so much better than the other one I've had. Its easy to play, the amp is easy to use, you don't have a whole lot of knobs to mess around with, but you can still get pretty much any kind of sound you want out of it. I'll be spending alot of time with this guitar before i even think about buying another.
Sound
This guitar is great for Metal. It sounds great, plays great. You can get a really wide range of sounds out of it, though.
Features
The amplifier that came with it is excellent. Compact, yet loud enough to overpower a drumset. The features on it are great as well, love the "Grind" distortion. The strap is a little flimsy, it fell off while I was playing. The picks that come with are awesome though.
Quality
Seems really well-built. The finish on it is excellent looking. Not too sure how durable it is, I baby it just in case.
Value
Heck yeah! You get everything you need to start playing right out of the box.
Manufacturer Support
Never dealt with them
The Wow Factor
Oh my god.. Just look at this guitar.. Everyone i know who's seen mine is jealous of me, even though they have the $400-$500 guitars, they all want one of these, if not just because of how awesome it looks.

"This is a good quality product"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
i probably be satisfied the whole time i have it.
Sound
Theres really no way to express the sound except AWESOME. It responds to my playing perfect its like it knows what i want to play my music style is punk/hard rock so it works perfect. I use a hot rod pedal and the sound really has a "cure for the itch".
Features
It included a strap and picks, the strap was probably the most useful You could put a vibrato bar on it to make the effects better.
Quality
It was made very well the finish was good and therew is probably no beating the scratch plate and its a reliable product for a guitarist.
Value
It has an okay selling price but more people would buy the product if it was an even price.
Manufacturer Support
I never had to deal with the company.
The Wow Factor
I think girls should go with somthing else this more for a rocker like myself.

"Ive owned it for years, im in a metal band, and its the best guitar ive ever used! Check it out"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Unless you looking for a top of the line, custom built guitar, straight from the hands of kerry king, you should buy this one. Great price, great looks, brutal sound, cant beat it!
Sound
Its a brutal looking guitar with a kickass sound. I plug it into my mesa boogie triple rectifier and it sounds great, ive used it for two years in my death metal band. Its not the best for soloing but if you want a badass backing guitar, get this one.
Features
The guitar came with a little bc rich amp and a strap and gigbag. I still use the bag and strap. But the price i payed for all of it was a good buy for just the guitar itself, i didnt know i would get anything else, the amp sucks but its still worth definatly buying the pack
Quality
its worn down now, but when i got it, it was in perfect condition. Ive used it for 2 years and i havent had to replace a thing on it. Its a very reliable guitar, sturdy and works perfectly. All i play are BC Rich's. theyre the best
Value
Th price is great! like i said when i payed i thought i was just getting a guitar and not all the other stuff. Its a great price for the guitar alone.
Manufacturer Support
Ive never contacted the company, ive never had to, their product works perfectly
The Wow Factor
It is probably the sexiest looking guitar ive evber played. Unlike most guitars with an awesome shape, like the V, beast, bich, and virgin, the warlock rests comfortably on your lap when you sit, its not jabbing you or sliding off you leg.

I had this for about a year and im going to sell ti and buy a ibanez arc100 so it lasted about a year or so
Sound
It sounds pretty good without distortion and i dont know why people complain because i LOVE the distortion on this little amp!!
Features
The tone and volume knobs are always up on my guitar so i dont know
Ease of Use
easy as hell to use. The amp is simple and not complicated
Quality
The body is pretty heavy duty so that holds up well. it doesnt have a pick gaurd so it easily scratches but other than that its fine!!
Value
good value for the amount i paid

Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
This is a fantastic guitar. Plays fine. great durability and fantastic price.
Sound
The sound is just like an average guitar. nothing special but it's definitely not bad.
Features
It didnt come with a tuner or extra strings so i was kinda bummed out by that. They gave me the essentials: amp, amp cable, bag, picks, strap, L-wrench
Quality
Very pretty, came in perfect condition. I think it'll last me quite a while. but the strings broke when i used em for like a week.
Value
Being so big and pretty, I'd think that this guitar should cost way more than it does.
Manufacturer Support
Support was easy and helpful.
The Wow Factor
This is definitely not an ordinary guitar. It's big pointy and has silver graphics on it. What more can you ask for??other than the Kerry King warlock or the Beast or The annihalator(Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein's guitar), this is the best looking guitar i have ever seen.

Its awesome for any kind of hard rock or metal. the only downside to it is that it dosent come with a whammy bar, but if you're good enough, you dont need one. "BEST AFFORDABLE GUITAR! B.C. RICH WARLOK!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
As long as I have it. Do not intend to replace it any time soon. No the sound and features to this guitar is perfect to me. If I compared it to a SG I probably choose the BC RICH because I love it man. If my guitar were ever stolen I would get the same one. What I like most about it is the shape and sound of the guitar. One thing I like least about it is the fact of no whammy bar.
Sound
No tips ,but it could be a little better sounding with a whammy bar. In my opinion.
Features
None
Quality
Well it chips and the paint scratches easily, but other words it perfectly fine.
Value
Yes, it is a very good quality guitar and the price should be higher on that note.
Manufacturer Support
I have not had any problems out of the guitar so I have not yet to incounter with these people.
The Wow Factor
The red warlok is the best looking one to me. Thats the one I have at home. I think it is a very beutiful guitar.

"Everything You Need To Know About This Pack"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
This guitar has lasted me for almost 2 years. If someone stole it, I would track him down and shove the pointy headstock straight up his ass for attempted theft. I will buy more guitars in the future, but for now I have 2. The Warlock is my primary weapon of choice right now and will be for mnay years to come. You will not be disappointed. BUY THIS TODAY!
Sound
I've heard many people complain about the BDSM stock tuners that come with this axe. I tell them to stop being so picky. Does it sound like Seymour Duncan or DiMarzio? Of course not. Does it get the job done? NO! It completely surpasses getting the job done. Stock pickups are fine for me on this Warlock.
Features
This pack has everything you need to start shredding instantly. Amp is powerful for being so small and gig bag is handy (but it will NOT protect the guitar, so be careful). And the guitar is incredible.
Ease of Use
It is so easy to play this guitar. Some people say it is for beginners. Look at Kerry King from Slayer. He's been playing the Warlock for 20+ years. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think he's a beginner. This guitar is heavy so deal with it (the heaviness gives it better sustain).
Quality
It is very sturdy and will last. I gave it a 9 because of the paint and pointy ends. The paint will chip easily if you hit something so be careful. The headstock will chip off at the ends if you hit something so be careful. The gig bag is handy like I said before, but I gently hit the door accidently and one of the headstock ends lost a small piece. BE CAREFUL!
Value
Come on. If you think this guitar pack isn't a value then just go and end your life because you are completely insane. Buy it today because you won't find a better value anywhere.
Manufacturer Support
Never had to deal with them because the product was in excellent condition so I had no problems.
The Wow Factor
The body was made to break the mold of traditional guitars back in the 60's. It did amazingly well. The body catches the eye, and the white tribal graphics on this guitar in the pack make it 10 times better looking than just the regular Warlock. Guys-girls love it! If you know how to play it well that is.

"Great price, great pack, great everything!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
If this guitar fails me when it's at the ned of it's tether, I'll buy another one. If it's stolen, I will track down the theif, kick his ass, and take it back. I will get other guitars for variety and sound, but this one will always be my favorite.
Sound
The amp is small, but hey for this price, what do you expect? It gets the job done, but you may sound a little muddy so go buy a 15 watt amp or something. People complained about the humbuckers on it when they bought it, but when I bought mine I don't see what they are complaining about.
Features
You need a strap and you need an amp. If you want to play metal or rock, go buy a distortion pedal because the amp's distortion is weak. However, this pack comes with everything you need to get up and play.
Ease of Use
Definitely a great beginner guitar, but look at Mick Thompson of Slipknot! Look at KERRY KING! They still play the Warlock and they are the farthest away from beginners that I could imagine.
Quality
It is pointy. Pointy ends and pointy headstock. Take care of it! If you bash the head into a wall, it will break! Duh. The strap broke while my cousin was playing it and it hit the STONE floor, but it now only has a little section where there is no paint and luckily it's at a hard angle to see! Just take care of it.
Value
Are you kidding me? For this price, you can't get anything with more bang for your buck! BUY IT!
Manufacturer Support
Nver had to deal with them because the product is so well made!
The Wow Factor
It is not an everyday guitar. Most people go "Cool! A guitar!" with this baby, people go "OMG! WHAT A KICK-ASS GUITAR! LET ME HAVE IT!" It stand out and has the tribal graphic, which makes it look more stylish than the regular Warlock. The ladies go crazy when they see me playing this thing.

"A True Metalmaster"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Its a great guitar for beginners or advanced players. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's tuning messes up. Anything you don't like about this guitar can be changed. I'm eventually going to change the pick ups. With that upgrade, I'll keep this guitar forever as it will look AND sound good.
Sound
First off, I bought the guitar new seperate from the pack so I don't have the amp or stuff. The sound on this guitar is very nice. It screams high notes like a banshee and has a good crunch on the low notes. I play it through a marshall amp and when it's on distortion, the warlock is a monster. It can easily switch from a low end sound to a high wail. Unfortunately the clean aspect is not so good. When on clean, the guitar gives more of a lower end sound rather than the balance sound you find in stratocasters. Although I understand it's a metal guitar, I'd still like to see some good clean tone on the guitar.
Features
It didn't really have many notable features. A 3 way selector switch, a volume knob and tone knob. The 24 frets and widow headstock are beautiful things however. I suppose you could replace the bridge with a floyd rose or something, but as a starter guitar, this is pretty much all you need to really get the sounds you want. I've been playing 2 years and I still see this as a very good guitar. The humbucking pick ups work well but personally I'm later going to replace them with EMGs. That kind of work can give this guitar a high end sound worthy of NJ series I'd say. Also, this guitar seems to often come out of tune when shredding high notes on solos.
Quality
With this guitar it has many spiky ends. With spiky ends they're often fragile. So with good care it could last forever. The finish is beautiful, white on black, and looks to last a long time with care. The guitar seems reliable, I haven't had any problems with it yet. The only thing loose on it seems to be a washer on one machine head but if I tried I could fix that easily. Good quality guitar.
Value
It's worth its price, I'd buy it again. Before I bought it I tried out a bc rich NJ beast at the store and there really wasnt much difference except for the floyd rose and tuning lock thing but I usually don't use those anyway and that guitar was about 7 or 8 hundred dollars.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had any need to deal with them yet so they can have the average mark so far.
The Wow Factor
It's a beautiful guitar. I love the tribal design on the warlock shape. The widow headstock is great too. It looks like it costs a lot more than it does.

"terrible guitar!!!"

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
it doesnt stay in tune, the jack kept getting unscrewed, it sounds like crap, the paint chips easily, and its really pointy!
Sound
the sound isnt all that great. i have just purchased a schecter c7 with seymore duncans and let me tell you they sound sooo much better than this bc rich. the sound of the bc rich is pretty weak i have some good equiptment and this guitar makes some of the stuff i play through sound like crap. and lets not forget the feedback! after playing this guitar for about a year i have experianced terrible feedback whenever i forget to mute the strings. the overall sound is not impressive
Features
it did come with all you need to get started. however the strap is to irratable i couldnt use it and gave it away. the amp so be honest is terrible its like what 6 watts? the distortion in the amp is terrible you are so much better off just buying a pedal. and pics sucked as well they all broke!!!!
Ease of Use
you cant really get a ''great sound'' out of this guitar. to much feedback and it sounds terrible. get better strings they help a little
Quality
the only real problem i had was the plug in jack kept becoming inscrewed so i always had to fix that and it cant stay in tune for anything and it sounds terrible!
Value
the vvalue was not too bad it was fairly cheep and came with all i needed but it doesnt stay in tune and it doesnt sound good. it is not a great guitar so it seems like a waste of money

"sounds cool, looks cool, low price!"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Good stuff, but the strings still rattle a little bit and they could work on making the guitar stay in tune better, but this thing still rocks.
Sound
This guitar sounds great. Owned it for half a year. I played my cousins $400 ESP and then this guitar and they sounded almost exactly the same. Of course, i had to raise the bridge to get rid of the rumbling. When i was adjusting it something kinda snapped, i dont know what, but the sound is a lot better now. Perfect for any metal music. The amp is good for practice, but not much else.
Features
The strap is small but gets the job done, the amp is good for practice (clean channel sounds great), the bag is crap but its still a bag, and the picks are really light(flimsy), which i like. The features on the guitar are cool, the head is awesome and so is the shape, but the graphics look bad up close. No whammy bar pisses me off.
Quality
When i got it the strings were all rumbly and old, but when i fixed that stuff it sounded better. Most of the parts are made pretty well. The rosewood fretboard is very smooth.
Value
If the sound beats a $400 ESP Flying V, THE VALUE IS THE BEST
Manufacturer Support
I havent needed any service yet, so i dont know
