I recently purchased the CK-1 condenser microphone on the zZounds site. I was very pleased with the results after recording my acoustic guitar. The sound was very clear and breathed life into my recording. The CK-1 sounded so good that my friend thought i had used a higher priced mic only to reveal that it came from the CK-1. Impressive!! The mic came in a wooden box with two extra capsules (Omni, Hypercardioid and Cardioid) that you can exchange to give the user different polar patterns to accommodate various instruments. Instead of one mic, you get three, an excellent option. It was well worth the price. I highly recommend, especially if you are on a tight budget and need a great sounding mic. Great bang for the buck.

Avantone CK1 Microphone Customer Review
Sound
Ok, I really just got these, I have a pair. These are very nice for the price. Sound is clear and transparent, not harsh at all. 80kz rolloff wil knock the bottom out of acoustic guitar but the highs are brilliant. I use these mics to record my classical and acoustic guitars into presonus Studio One through a presounus audiobox usb.
Features
Shock mount and interchangeable cartridges it's like 9 mics for the price of 1.
Ease of Use
Real easy.
