The Avantone mics arrived in a beautiful case, well protected. They look beautiful/classy (red and black), and sound good. Sturdy shock mounts, and generally sturdy microphones. Only 2 complaints: the snare mic sounds very dull. In fact we decided we couldn't use it and went back to a Shure SM57 on it. Not sure if we got a bad mic or that is their concept. We liked the others so well we actually decided to pick up the hi-hat mic (not included with the CDMK-6 kit) but available separately (CK-1 Hyper-cardioid Condenser Mic). Now the kit sounds great and we have good control for recording. Only other complaint, is that although the case is very sturdy and looks cool, the leather trim immediately started coming unglued. I guess it is not a high quality glue. We are a church that meets in a high school and have to set up/tear down each Sunday so suspect the trim will fall off soon. But overall, we are pleased with the package and would recommend it.
