This cable is much much shorter than the cable it replaces that come with your headphones. It's nearly unusably short. I have my audio interface sitting in a rack flush with the back of my desk and to use this cable without any kind of extension I would have to remove my interface and place it on my desk directly in front of me. I realize that the length is listed here, but I'll be honest I skipped right over that assuming the replacement cable was exactly the same thing as they ship with the headphones. The only reasoning for this I can see is that if the thing is short enough you'll just buy new headphones. Well, I will. And they won't be Audio-Technica
