I bought these headphones for music only, plug into my stereo system and crank them up! for the price of these phones you couldn't get a pair of JBL or beats, these Audio-Technica ATH-WS1100is kick major butt, killer tone killer bass at a fantastic price! very comfortable, can be used for recording and monitors. Audio-Technica make great products at an affordable price.

These headphones are for serious loud metal music! I've have these headphones crank with Pantera and they still sound amazing! Great price for these headphones as well. I use them for monitor headphones and they seem to handle all I've thrown at them. Audio-Technica make quality equipment for the any musician/listener.
