I may add an extension cabinet. It will cover every gig that I play without any problem. I'm an Ashdown supporter for life.
Sound
Unbelievable power and tonality for a combo amp. Just played a party for 125 guests with no sound reinforcement and the amp cut it with power to spare.
Features
Front panel is easy to use and low tone generator is an awesome addition.
Ease of Use
Keep it simple stupid. It worked for me.
Quality
Cabinet is well made and all knobs are smooth and the VU meter is cool.
Value
I got a great deal on a open carton but at regular price, it still a steal.
Manufacturer Support
No comment. Haven't needed tech suppport
The Wow Factor
This amp is a bass players and drummer's best friend. My drummer loves it too.

"Well done Ashdown"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Overall I am very happy with the amp. I plan on moving on to something bigger of adding a 4X10 to this in the next year or so but regardless I will keep this amp.
Sound
I had read nothing but good reviews of this before buying it and confirm all of them. The sound is great and can get fairly load for a small amp. I have used it at home and on the road and have had nothing but complements on it.
Features
Has almost all you could ask for, the only thing I would add is a head phone port for studio and practice situations.
Ease of Use
Very easy to figure out.
Quality
Knobs come off easy, you just need to treat it with care I would suggest buying a travel case for it.
Value
Big boom for your buck.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't needed it.
The Wow Factor
It is a beautiful design; my wife even likes the look of it.

"The mopar motors of bass amps with a 1970's price."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Sound
clear and load. you can rattle window glass even at low output levels. this amp is up to the task of muscling bass range sounds through a sea of other instruments (i.e. guitarists, keyboard players, and brass). if you keep your time straight, the drummer will love you on this amp.
Features
the equalizer and preset buttons are useful for shaping tone. the on board "bass generator" (i.e.low octaver effect)is outstanding. powerful tone and presence. clear and bright sounds also very acheivable.
Quality
simple, tough, heavy.
Value
watts output versus $ is the highest I've encountered.
Manufacturer Support
local rep experience only. they were informed and helpful.
The Wow Factor
this amp is designed to look like it came out of the cab of a 70's dodge charger. rumbles like it's got a hemi as well.

"Best value in a high watt 2x10 combo on the market!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Purchaser zZounds has verified that this reviewer purchased this specific product from us.
Planning on buying the 2x10 extension soon
Sound
Sound is very clear--even at high volumes. Speaking of volume, this thing is loud! With the 2x10's it's only 185 watts (got this straight from Ashdown) but it screams. I'm looking forward to get another 2x10 extension cab to get the full 307 watts out of it.
Features
NA
Quality
The only complaint I have about quality is the silver "foil" looking stuff that covers the head sticks out the back of the cab some. Not hard to trim off, but just seems cheesy to me.
Value
Go try to find a 300 watt combo with 2x10's for $449 in any other brand...not gonna happen
Manufacturer Support
Contacted Ashdown for availability of this product. Had fast response from their rep. Thanks for your help Martin!!
The Wow Factor
I'd hate to loose it. Hope it last a long time

"Way Past A Great Bang for Your Buck!!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Wonderful piece of electronics. Only downfall is the lack of availability from Ashdown, which, in the long-run, will probably make these amplifiers even more desirable.
Sound
Can get excellent flat tones for fretless playing as well as well rounded and full-bodied for more contemporary playing.
Features
The 300W is more than enough for anyone up through semi-pro. It's great to have two additional bands of EQ for tweaking tone.
Quality
Quality points only drop because I had to un-screw the head from the combo unit straight out of the box to find that a connection was not attached. As soon as I fixed this problem, however, everything works as advertised, if not better.
Value
Absolutely the best value for the money in this or any price range in bass amplifers for players through semi-professional.
Manufacturer Support
I was very disappointed with Ashdown's production efficiency as it took me nearly 2 months to receive my amplifer. However, I remarked on their website and received a personal email from their Director of North American Distribution 2 days later, apologizing and promising my amp would arrive within the week, which it did. Outstanding customer service after an initial falter...
The Wow Factor
Great construction, and how can you beat that Ashdown Voltmeter?? (too bad they had to cheapen the looks with the Electric Blue line and the LED "voltmeter."

"A super value with nothing sacrificed."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This amp is my new standard. I'll play it till it quits then I'll go out and get another one. I did a lot of research cause money is always tight but being picky I was willing to spend up to $1200 for a combo amp. I played about 10 brands extensivly including Ampeg, SWR, Eden,(the most expensive). I had tried Yorkvill, which for a relitive noname really delivered for about $700 BUT then a friend who is a clinician for a top brand with a big W on the grill told me about Ashdown. I hadnot heard of them. I went out, played it and had to have it at any price. Then the shock. It was the cheapest amp I'd played at $450. Saved so much i baught the 1X15 extension on the spot.
Sound
Incredible punch for such a small light packedge. Very tight bottom end. very open, a hifi sweetness. Lots of power. I run it with i 1X15 extension cab that it really doesent need but it looks cool. I replaced an SWR with this.
Features
The only negitive I've experienced is that the metal grill work on the 2x10 and the 1x15 dont match. One is gray and one is black. didn't think id use the built in sub harmonic but now i'm addicted to it.
Quality
-feels so light it makes me a bit sceptical about road worthyness. All the parts seem well made. The fans are a bit loud. Would be a problem in a miked recording session. The amp itself it very quite and noise free.
Value
Yes, It's a third the price I was prepaired to pay for an Eden.
Manufacturer Support
don't know but thier in england so I hope it doesent bust. I'd like to see a service relationship in this country.
The Wow Factor
I'm, not much into retro looks but I have to say, I'ts a good looking amp. Wish the grills matched.

"exceptional product for the money, a must buy."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

It's the best amp ive had the priviledge to play on and own. Iv'e played on some of the higher dollar amps and this one holds its own in comparison. Iv'e since bought the Mag c210 deep bass cabinet to add to this thing and it is a beautiful match in both looks and sound and the grills do match. Ashdown must of made a change or something. I had read that the grills didn't match in other reviews, well they do now! I suggest you get this and the 210 cab to go with.
Sound
This baby has got all the power i was hoping for and more. I play in a metal/hard rock band and needed something that could handle my Ibanez sg 500 and this amp has done it. In our last two practices the cops have shown up due to the noise level, So yes it has plenty of power and boom for a mid sized gig for sure. I prefer Blues music and this thing can wale out the tones that i love to hear.
Features
Best amp ive had thus far when it comes to the sound options and the 10" speakers can handle all you through at em. watch for the low ends though, they can rattle the tweeter a bit.
Ease of Use
Piece of cake to use and a dream to play on.
Quality
Sound and sturdy. I've moved this thing from practice to home, gigs and back and she takes the abuse with no problem.
Value
Great buy for the money, in fact its a steal.
Manufacturer Support
I havent had to deal with Ash down thus far, have had no trouble. I did have to send the origanal b- stock back to zzounds, UPS screwed it up in shipping and zoounds sent me a brand new a-stock for no extra charge got it in three days. 2 thumbs up to zzounds.
The Wow Factor
In my opinion it is the coolest looking amp on the market. I really like the look of the speakers and the VU meter is really cool to.
