First the good. Light as a feather. Almost 12 pounds. It certainly will not break your back lugging it around. Good for us older performers. Busking? I can't wait to try that feature out, but I live in MIchigan, and it could be a while before I can do that. But they say BIG things come in small packages well that describes that well. You got 200 watts to play with and believe me when I say this, it's LOUD. I just downloaded the app for this amplifier. Wasn't too hard to do even for someone like me that isn't real techie. So, you can customize your sound. It has some decent onboard effects. Not mind blowing but sufficient. I like chorus and find the chorus effect was just okay. I'll probably use my outboard TC Electronics Afterglow chorus pedal. I like using a phaser pedal and I have a vintage Ibanez PH-7 pedal that I will use. I also like compression/sustain and will probably use my outboard Janglebox pedal for that. I like my speakers pole mounted. There's a setting on the amp it you prefer to use the speaker as a monitor on the floor and a pole setting as well. Only one thing that Alto neglected to put on the amp was a headphone jack so you can rehearse in private without disturbing the neighbors. This animal might be hard to tame in a bar situation or coffee house. So prepare to get tapped on the shoulder to turn it down. I'll find out soon enough on that. I play the 12 string acoustic/electric guitar so I'm already twice as loud as anyone knows 12 string guitars are loud. But in summation here. I think dollar for dollar the soloist like myself will be drawn to this amp for performing in just about any medium sized venue as well for busking. This is a busker's dream come true. I hope there is a protective cover made to protect in transit. I'll research that. Buy it. I don't think you will regret it.

I got it the first day and was getting a bunch of static in channel 2 i changed the guitar cable and it worked for a little while, then it went out again and doesn't work with 3 different guitar cables. I think they need a little better quality control so i am returning it for the bose s1 pro. When it worked it didn't sound bad
Sound
Sound quality was ok, i probably would have been happy with it if it worked right
Features
I like that this has built in effects many speakers don't
Ease of Use
Sound is fine quality control not so much
Quality
The build don't seem bad, but something is obviously off on the one i received. Only one channel is operational and you need 2 channels for busking
Value
No i spend a bit more for better quality control
Manufacturer Support
i did not contact the company directly
The Wow Factor
The idea of a portable battery powered speaker is great, but it needs to work when you need it

"Not good alto busker"

Busker had power supply go after 14 months. It is 400 to repair .. so it’s garbage now. Is the best small speaker when it works .. but one is now tossed away Other one I bought was distorted, they fixed and sent back. But both not good. Bad service and too many problems..

This thing sounds pretty good for the size and for the price. The major flaw is that you have to use the app to control the volume. I've never successfully been able to get the app to connect when not connected to wifi because you have to, apparently, have the best signal on the planet to achieve this. Major design flaw

I retract my previous review. Overated and overpriced. I bought in on impulse and have lived to regret it. I think it's a piece of garbage. I'll stick with my Roland BA-330 and my Roland Cube Street EX 50 watt amp. Again, this is a piece of crap. I'm still paying for it and trying to unload it to pay this garbage off. So sorry I bought it. In case of fire; THROW IT IN!!
Features
I hate the way this preamp is set up.
Ease of Use
It sounds like crap.
Value
Overrated and overpriced. I'll stay with Roland.
Manufacturer Support
No.
