great guitar, great price. Tuning gears are high quality, was pleased to find out there is an installed transducer pickup. Used this as a flatwound travel project with 13 gauge chromes. Very happy with this product!

I love parlor guitars. There's something really special about a well-made parlor, and I've had a few over the years. A Martin, Larivee...I even had a custom myrtle one made, but the thing is when the recording was over I'd sell them...I have too many guitars and there's few and far betweens when a Parlor makes sense or gets requested on a recording... Until now... This baby jumbo has parlor nuance when you play it lightly, but when you dig in? The bass and volume roar.. lol, it's unreal how amazing this little guitar stands up on a track or in a room with other guitars. It's nothing short of amazing out of the box (with a nice gig bag) IMO right now, Alvarez is probably the best tone for under 500 you can get. The AD60, The Baritone All sub 500.00 and perfect for studio stock and work. You can have all 3 of these drop-dead, perfectly voiced instruments WHICH COVER the full range of acoustic tone for less than one middle range, higher end guitar. The more you spend on an acoustic the smaller the return, its so incremental after a certain point...with this line of hand crafted forward braced guitars and the free floating solid top its almost like why even bother spending more? Spruce and high quality mahogany laminate sides, the bone nut and saddle, the teared bridge and satin open finish? The neck profile and action?... I am a 40-plus year veteran studio and side guy with more tracks under my belt than texas has armadillos... tariffs coming, folks, buy this stuff while you can. This is, without a doubt, the best parlor/baby guitar I've heard. I know that's subjective, but i stand by it...I never write reviews, but I had to let folks know... This is well worth 3x what it lists for...buy it now and trust an old buzzard who's this excited (not much that tenders my loins these days) she's all that indeed

This guitar is great. I love Taylor and Martin but this will get you a fantastic sound for a good price. Very light and easy to play. No fret buzz at all. I was surprised how well it was set up. The solid Sitka top gives this travel guitar big volume. I like it more than the Martin Road series I used to own. I highly recommend this guitar. The size is perfect. Will buy another Alvarez in the future.

I wanted a Smaller Guitar to pack around surinf my Travels and I Have other Alvarez Acoustic Guitars , From The '70s and onward , The Guitar is like everyone elses Brand name where it started out in the USA and years later all in China , I thought this was a Bad Idea until i started my own business and Labour Cost is the biggest inflating factor of any Bottom line , I am not going to turn this review in the past, present and future , I am going to tell you , The workmanship , Materials and Cost is whats important , Finally someone is making a Guitar with top level wood and making it affordable , I love this guitar after I spent a few hours breaking in the Strings and it is a sound right in the pocket
