Only time will tell with my satisfaction with this unit. I've only had it for a month and it hasn't let me down thus far.
Sound
This is an awesome little unit for the money. I use it on my acoustic guitars. I give it an 8 in sound because it does alter the sound on my electric guitar too much to be useful. It brightens up my acoustic sound which isn't a problem. I always like a brighter sound on acoustic.
Features
Has a mute button on transmitter which comes in handy when I switch back and forth between guitars. Plug in and go - can't get much simpler than that.
Quality
I don't really care for plastic, but it seems that's all they make these days. I wish they would have used a heavier gauge wire to plug receiver into amp.
Value
Absolutely the best bang for your buck!

"Good & Bad of the PR40 Diversity System"
I would love to have this for all my instruments, but it's a bit cost prohibitive. If they could get the audio connector to be sturdier and possibly make the charger unit to hold the receiver without pulling a charge from the battery (ie mount it to your pedal board for full time a/c operation), then this would be a killer product.
Sound
Has a good all around sound, but does brighten up whatever it's hooked up to, both my LP and my Taylor acoustic. Doesn't hurt though and can be compensated by EQ.
Features
Audio connect cable needs a different connector for the receiver. It uses a mini ear phone jack that is smaller than standard earphone plugs and it's difficult to find a replacement. Even when I requested replacement from a variety of online music stores, they have problems identifying this cable and just refur me to standard cables on their site which are of no use. This unit has a loose mini jack inside the receiver unit and causes static when moved, ie when we are on stage playing. Another style jack would have been better suited.
Quality
As I said above, the audio connector is poorly designed, but the rest of the unit is designed quite well. I also purchased a base charging unit, but the receiver does not seat well in the charger and you have to move it around a lot to get it to charge properly. The guitar bug fits well in the charger and I've had no problem with that.
Value
This is a very nice product and works well when it works. Other than the battery issue and the loose internal connector, it's a champ. Think the price could come down a bit with todays technology.
Manufacturer Support
I've sent messages to AKG requesting replacement audio cable information, but they have yet to respond. This should be an accessory that is easily available from the stores that carry other accessories for this device.
The Wow Factor
The looks of this are very appealing. Size definately is what caught my eye. And it's distance if quite good. I've never gone out of range when playing on or offstage.
