For years I was using the ProMark Neil Peart signatures or the standards 747s. I liked the weight and balance. Recently, I got interested in switching to Ahead. Less shock, changeable tips and sleeves, a lot of good things to offer. I tried the 5A, 7A, and a couple others but they didn’t have the same feel and response I liked about the 747s. The Fat Beat 5A pair was the answer. Length, thickness, weight, and balance is nearly identical to the 747s but with all the added benefits Ahead as to offer. They’re so comfortable to play with. These are now my go-to stick.
