I just got these, so I have not fully tested them or calibrated them with Sonarworks yet, but I can say at least since I have had the T7Vs, I would expect the A7Vs to sound great. And they do. I think there were worth the wait. They are smaller than I thought they would be which is great. The design looks very good. The back volume finally has a notch you can feel when you want them balanced at 0db. Setup was easy. I like the buttons for customizing, but there are more options to customize deeper with remote software. I'm not sure if the software is available at the time of this short review, but it's nice to see more options to customize the monitors.

I've had a few types of lesser valued monitors before, but none like these A7V's. I'm still in the break in period of them, but still played on them through my Zoom L-20 Mixer. Ill list some things I like and then don't like so far. Or some not listed that others might be wondering about. 1. If you are wondering if these are loud enough, oh yes! Plenty loud and I mic my cabinets the old way most the time but could go direct if I like with my Tonex. 2. Are these 7" speakers? No, they measure the rim you see as part of that 7". The inner size of the speaker is actually approximately 6 1/4". or app 159mm. But make no mistake. These speakers rock! I cannot wait until they are fully burned in. 3. Is there anything made cheap about them? As far as the box build, no! But the back knob is notched only at the 0. 4. I am getting a little white noise though when running through my mixer. I'm not sure if that is normal. When I turn the speakers on themselves I do not hear this and it could possibly and more than likely is one of my pedals causing the interference. I hope. But I can barely hear it and it's not noticeable in my recording or when l'm playing. Its very faint. I am wondering if I can use what they call iFi SilentPower - GND Defender. They say it's pretty much made for such things like this and ground loops. I would like to know from Adam if they can be used with ribbon tweeters. I have not set up the remote software as of yet. I will be doing that later this week once I get the cables in to do it. I wish Adam had more on this, or I have not found it yet on the site. I have to check. I do need to set this up so I don't have to keep going behind the speakers. I do have them pretty close to the wall with plenty of padding behind them to stop unwanted noises. It's the problem I was having with rear port speakers. Although the options on the back are great! I only wished that the power switches were up near the rear top instead of so far down the back. It makes it hard to turn them on and off being close to the wall. I have a small studio area, I have them on pads and pretty close to me. The size is actually perfect and I had to have front port speakers. My room is treated well though and I get nothing bouncing around or desk rumbling. I have no other complaints at this time and very pleased I took the chance on these over the Kali Audio IN 8's. Even at twice the price, which is a bit pricey. I had the Yamaha HS8 and really didn't like them. To me these are better. But they did their job for the time. I sold them this morning to make room for the new era of killer monitors with front ports. zzounds has made it easy for me to get gear I wanted with payments, and I plan on getting more gear as time goes on. Did I say these look nice too? Oh they do!
