I really like the rugged design.It's not plastic like other controllers.It works great.The jog wheel takes some getting used to if you want to scratch. I had a problem with it at first and zzounds replaced with no problem.I will definetly be buying more stuff

Very great product, not only for the price but no Dj should go without having zZounds.com on there side. Can't beat playing wide you pay.....this product surprised me with the great clear sound comes out...Only down fall must get VirtualDj License to get the full and great sounds from this VMS4.1. But if you are a true Dj then this would not or should not be a problem......GET IT It's Worth it.

Well..I've had to send 2 American DJ VMS4.1 USB DJ Controller's back. They did not work properly, As a matter of fact; they NEVER did the same thing twice. First time I turned on the device, the headphones wouldnt work. Turn the device off then back on and the headphones would work, but then something else that was working 2 minutes ago, was now not working. This went on EVERYTIME I turned the device off and back on. ie..the problems changed.

Did not get to use the features fully due to the problems with the device.
Ease of Use
Fairly easy, but I have been a DJ for 18 years, so I know my way around a switch or 3.
Quality
Sucks. Cant get a good device. Cant get your guys to test the damn thing before they send it to me. If my next American DJ VMS4.1 USB DJ Controller does not work properly. Im done. And I DJ every weekend. EVERY WEEKEND.

I bought this controller a couple of months ago and just love it. I had been using a computer and software before, but now it gives me the feel of when I played vinyl & cds. It is a really solid piece of equipment. Metal, not plastic and well worth the money.

I was excited to receive this but after multiple attempts, I could not get it to run to my external speaker. Don't be fooled about the "lite" software, it's limited and wants the user to upgrade. Zzounds was great as far as helping me troubleshoot and help me return the item, but I had to pay for the shipping back to them.
