After 20 years of listening and mix/playing audio . This is my final selection sold off my 4 Dac audiophile rated interface. Before that I sold off my 4 professional audio and moved to Dacs. I tried many previous pro audio interface some very expensive ones and send them back. Some of the greatness claims of low latency drive where all wrong and very disappointing. I haven’t heard all interfaces but , but great is audient id24 . Your final purchase. Yes very colored but correct and true audio sound representation close as a DSD recording can reproduce. Its plays MQA as great as my previous pro DAC’s via tidal music. This interface is easily $1,200 comparison verse a the bigger boys. Head phone quality and punch is pretty good for a self powered unit. The one external audio vocal recording that I made came out perfect. The latency is fantastic you can run at 128 buffers with no glitches. At this price point this is a steal. A simple check for your interface for everyone hear. If play youtube NBR music (this is an excellent test for your interface in untreated room audiophiles quality) and if dose sound better than the music you reproduce then the interface is the culprit. This iD24 beats the sound quality of NBR music playing via Youtube. Thats a guarantee. In the untreated room this sound great via NBR no matter what room you listen to music. My only concern when I search around no one has demos on theMajor console aps4824 or aps4816 very few demos and review. I find this Audient iD24 has 7 buses built in via adat output.

This Audient is so sweet! The sound when recording, or the playback though my Adam A7V's are just +something I never knew I was wanting until I heard it. For this price, the way it handles all of the controls, plugins like EX Drummer 3, Large Tonex pedal even, its just out of this world. Its also easy to listen to backing tracks and play along with if you want. Ive had other interfaces in the past. Scarlet Solo Gen 2, and still have it, I also still have a Zoom L-20 mixer that is fantastic! But its purposes I can clearly hear for recording are completely different than I was hear in the Audient iD24. I also have it running on a Mac mini m4 pro with 24GB Unified Memory and 512GB ssd. Then I am running all my software like Reaper, and plugins off another SK Hynix 2TB drive. And damg! It flies! I little trick for this Audient to give it an on / off switch is use a 10GBS hub with switches. Must have USB C if you want to keep it dedicated when using the Audient. So I can only attest to the gear I have and have had in my 40 years of playing. This unit is in a league all of its own. I'm sure there is better for much more. But this thing can easily pull of recordings that are pro quality without breaking a sweat. Not to mention its looks nice on the desktop and built like a tank!

This was supposed to be an upgrade to my ID44. I had some water damage to my 44 resulting in 1 and 2 pre amps failing. It's still running like a tank though. This ID24 is supposed to have the same or better specs?It's a similar beast but different. The pre amps are too clean. So creamy and plenty of head room. I A and B'd them with the ID44, it's about flavor not better. The ID44 is phatter but ID24 is cleaner and shimmery. Choices Choices Choices, nickels nickels nickels..Just get it. It's worth every penny.Heads up, I had problems with windows 11 and the ID mixer, doesn't work. Could be the computer, don't know.
