I have used Pro Tools for a while but I do find Ableton Live to be quite a bit more user friendly and intuitive. The largest difference for me were obvious in two areas. (1) Editing both recorded MIDI and audio, (2) mapping MIDI commands to the DAW using the mapping automation. These advantages combined provided a more useable environment and far easier workflow.
