Pop this module on your Zoom H5, H6, or H8 recorder, and capture audio in X/Y stereo. Each microphone rotates to capture either a 90- or 120-degree angle.

The Zoom XYH-6 X/Y capsule employs two angled high-quality unidirectional mics which are sensitive to signals coming from the front but less to signals coming from the sides and rear. X/Y recording is optimum when you want to cover a wide area yet still capture a strong center image, making it the perfect choice for all types of live stereo recording.

Used this capsule set to 120 degree separation with an H5 to record a holiday symphony concert. The recorder was 5 rows into the audience on a tripod. Excellent soundstage width, great clarity to the recording and more bass than I was expecting from mics this size, Everyone, including the conductor was very pleased with results.
