What's special about this item?

Feature: What it does:
Ebony fretboard Dark color, tight grain; premium fretboard wood
Sitka spruce top Projects rich, crisp and responsive tone
Taylor Expression System 2 Captures dynamic range of acoustic sound
Walnut back and sides Balanced tone with a bit of growl in lower mids

For years, Taylor's slim necks have helped define a great 12-string experience. The Taylor neck joint design ensures low action and ease of playability. The 12-string Dreadnought 150e fits that signature playability and tonal clarity into an affordable package, making a quality 12-string more accessible to budget-minded players looking to broaden their musical palette.
The Dreadnought body's strong low-end response balances well with the crisp octave shimmer, producing a tone that's lush and articulate, with lots of dynamic range. Features include layered walnut back and sides, a solid Sitka spruce top, solid west African ebony fingerboard and bridge, 1-7/8-inch neck, varnish finish, black binding and pickguard, and stage ready, natural-sounding Taylor's Expression System 2 pickup.

I bought this guitar because the Takamine GD30CE that I bought at the end of 2017 was not giving me the professional results or sound that I was needed for my work. This guitar provided me exactly what I was looking for within a half hour of unpacking it. The neck is as close to perfect as can be expected, especially so for a guitar like this under $1000. The body has a marvelous resonance, and the setup is also near perfect. I regret not purchasing this before wasting my money on the Takamine which I am now selling.NOTE: I bought the Takamine based upon previous experience with owning their EF341C, which is made in Japan. The GD30CE is made in China, and the lack of quality shows. This guitar is made in Mexico, not China. So quality control is a lot easier to maintain.
