This case delivers easy access, with rear and side ports, and a robust shell designed for stacking, transport and durability.

The SKB R104 is a 10U slanted top and 4U front, rack case that features steel-threaded rails, hard lid and doors, side access ports (for cable routing) and has enough space to mount the AV-8 with the lid closed! The one piece base is roto-molded of Linear Medium Density Polyethylene (LMDPE) while the hard front and rear doors and lid are Injection molded of Rubber Modified Styrene (RMS). The back lid provides maximum access to the rack gear. Two TSA locking SKB patented trigger latches secure the lid while the flat hard top allows for stacking in transport and storage.

The case is well built. The top lid mates with the case perfectly. Attention to detail, accuracy of the moldings, and the quality of the components combine t make a very nice case. The rear panel is able to remain in place as the connecting cables are able to be run through oval holes near the rear lower corners. When not in use these holes are closed off with removable plugs.

Case only, no other components.
Features
The only part/parts that could use an improvement would be the latches that secure the rear panel. The latch operation is sloppy and sort of difficult when attempting to secure the panel. They are fitted loosely in their position and must be aligned properly prior to performing the latching movement, otherwise the catch will fail to engage the case.

The rear panel latches could use improvement.
