Sound
Right out of the box the sound was a little muddy. After some adjusting and i found the "SWEET SPOTS" for the EMGhz's the sound was "AWSOME"!The bridge pickup is so HOT, especially on my Spider III in the "METAL" mode. All 3 pickup settings are great. The Neck pickup gives a rich low sexy growl. The String action was low right out of the box, just like i like it. The "FLOYD ROSE" was a breeze as i already own a couple of guitars with FR tremolos. The "GROVER TUNERS" are very smooth. The real kicker is the looks! The Satin Black finish makes it look like a "STEALTH FIGHTER"! The pearl "FLYING BAT" inlays and the "BLACK CHROME" hardware top it off nicely! This is the 3rd guitar i have purchased and by far the best sounding, best looking, and best playing. It screams "DARK METAL"!!
Features
It came with all the allen wrenches, a short amp cable, extra trem spring, and whammy bar. I do wish it had storage clamps for the wrenches on the back of the neck so you can get to them without having to carry around in a gig bag. I also would like to have had seperate Vol controls for the pickups as on the C1, but for the price i can't complain and the pickups blend together nicely.
Ease of Use
You may have to adjust the pickups and string height to your liking but this is easy if you have been playing awhile. It really sounds awsome with the Line 6 Spider III amp that… read more i use. Did not come with a manual, but i really did not need it. The guitar is pretty straight forward in adjustments and setup. For me, playability is great. The neck is fast and comfortable.
Quality
This is my first SCHECTER. It won't be my last. The quality and workmanship gets a solid #10! Could not find any flaws or blemishes.
