"Noise-Cancellation without sending you into Debt-Counseling."

I searched for a good noise-cancellation headphone, that's not too expensive (hey I'm a cheapskate like all musicians) and went with this one on a whim. Payed off though because Samson has a good history with all the stuff I've bought from them at paying attention to keeping quality high and costs not too low.
Sound
I give it a 9 for the sound/price. At this price you get a pair of headphones that sound way better than they should. Sound is more voluminous when the noise cancellation is turned on (does lose a lot of that volume when you turn it off). When you are hearing in noisy environments without the cancellation feature you really have to raise the volume of your audio output to get definition. I blame this more on the environment than the headphones -- the less noiser the environment the nicer the headphones sound without the use of noise cancellation.
Features
Pretty cool features for the price. A detachable 6 foot long 1/8 inch headset cable connection (they include a 1/4 in. to 1/8 in. adapter, no cutting corners there) and soft carry bag are included... plus a free pair of Chon-kang-uonaspecialchinesecharacters AA batteries are included to get you going. The cable is just attached to one headset so that's a cool feature to keep you from having the dreaded 90s walkman Y-cable neck. The headphones themselves are collapsible so you can really store them without too much fuss. The headphones have huge drivers… read more (speaker magnets) so with the Noise Cancellation on... and some spacey music... you feel like you're in one of those 70s audiophile pads people dreamed of always having.
Ease of Use
Pretty simple to use. If you want to use the noise cancellation feature there is a switch you push on or off, conveniently located near the volume dial. That volume dial lets you dial in, pun intended, the volume level you want without having to mess with your computer's volume all the time.
Quality
For the price you can't beat it. You can go the Bose, Audio-Technica etc. route and pay more for headphones that nearly sound the same and do the same thing but cost and arm and a leg... or you can just get these and not worry too much about skipping a meal/rent to get them. Plus the headphone itself is well made, nice huge drivers, comfortable ear cushioning and top head cushioning.
Value
Great value for the price. Samson seems to keep real good quality control so that you never feel you're buying some no-name brand. Pretty sure you can find other "noise-cancellation" headphones at this price but they won't cancel out as much noise or keep the integrity of the sound as well as this one.
Manufacturer Support
Never had to deal with them. Samson support is pretty reliable though, so I've heard.
The Wow Factor
Not very sexy. It's very minimalist but that's what I'm a fan of. Nearly black everything except the sides where the dark silver finish is seen. Still if you compare this to Bose or some other brand you won't see huge differences. The build quality is pretty good to begin with.
