TO drive this, Samson packed the dB500 with a Class H power amp that pumps 400 watts RMS to the 15 in. and a separate Class AB power amp delivers a clean 100 watts RMS to the HF driver. Samson's exclusive Optimax multi-band limiter makes sure that you get great sound at any level. Other features include a molded cabinet design with steel grills, 3 padded handles, 8 flypoints, an integral pole mount, and angled sides for use as a wedge monitor. Since you can never have enough control, the dB500 back panel features a dedicated XLR mic input and a line level XLR and 1/4 in. combo input all with level controls, an XLR line level output, 2-band EQ, a switchable limiter and low pass filter, and signal sensing auto-turn on and off.
