"The envy of your friends."
Again I have nothing but good things to say about the quality, sound and looks of this bass. The only drawback is the playability of it. It was a little tough to play at first. I really have problems playing this bass while standing. It's thick and longer than a traditional guitar, originally I assumed I would be taking my "guitar" stance and holding this higher than I do my other electric basses. But because of the width of the bass - that has been tough. If I wear it low it hangs forward (maybe that is because I could lose a couple a 20 lbs). I actually found the most comfortable way to play is to extend my strap out to max length, and sit and hold the bass with the body between my legs and the neck pointed up over my shoulder at about 10 or 11 o clock, almost like a cello. I am still messing with it though and I am sure I will eventually find a good stand up position.
Sound
Full deep, rich sound. I got this bass 3 days ago have giged with it twice and both times people commented on the sound and how it was so much richer than my other basses. The only negative is that if it isn't plugged in it is drowned out by other acoustic instruments.
Quality
Finish is perfect, inlay is outstanding, quality seems exceptional. I wasn't planning on this being my primary instrument but I think for awhile this is all I will play.
Value
This is by far the nicest made acoustic bass I have had the… read more pleasure of playing - I was very surprised with the sound, the quality and the feel of the bass.
The Wow Factor
Let's just say that this bass causes bass envy. I played this weekend and was amazed at how many people (especially other musicians) that wanted to check it out and comment on how sweet it looks. I have to do some recording in a few weeks and this will be the bass I take.
