Although I like new gadgets, I tend to hang onto anything I purchase. I vary rarely sell my music stuff. So I would hope that this product can be expanded or perhaps upgraded over time.

Sound
I have only owned the product for less than a week so have not explored all the possibilities yet. However, so far I am very impressed with the sounds. Like any musician will say, if the sound is right, you have a tendency to play better. The POD 400 certainly give you a good experience and great sounds.

Features
Again I have not explored all the sounds. I think I would like more options to dial up a particular sound. For example: Classic Pink Floyd –Another Brick in the wall (solo and rhythm sounds) or Free’s Alright Now solo sound. The POD obviously gives you the freedom to explore different sounds, but some guitarists (like me) would just like to dial-up a particular sound.

Ease of Use
Very easy to get great sounds. However, one frustrating issue is when you are on pre-set 18 (for example) you need to tap the selector 18 times if you want to get back to pre-set number one –Is there an easier way to return to the first pre-set?

Quality
No issues with the strength of the unit (at this stage). Perhpas a purpose-built flight case would give it some needed protection when on the road.

Value
Price is always an issue -It is very difficult read more to know the value of any mass produced item. It appears a lot of work has gone into this unit and like any item, if you like what you see or hear, then people should be willing to pay the good price for a good product. I think the POD 400 is an excellent value for money product.

Manufacturer Support
I have also purchased a Spider IV and the FBV smart board Mk II. Have had some issues with upgrades but eventually solved the problems.

The Wow Factor
Great design, great sounds and easy to use -what more could you want.
