Took 10 minutes to install, did the permanent jack installation. Prepared the hole while I was waiting to receive this. It sounds like the trans acoustic guitars by Yamaha, except I feel you get more chorus, delay and reverb out of it! I wanted to buy the trans acoustic for this reason, but I love the sound of my FG 401. I been wanting to add a pickup system anyway and was also thinking of getting the tone wood 2, but the fugly box you stick on the back was turning me off.I did think the in while pick up system would annoy me of the Kepma, but thankfully it does t affect me playing at all. I have my saddle sanded pretty low and my action set low. Does not interfere with my guitar at all. The sound with effects off not plugged in sound the same to me as if nothing was in the sound hole. I was concerned about that as well but it good.Being able to have those effects while not being plugged in is so sweet. It completely changes the dynamics of the sound and and I am even more in love with this old guitar.Pnext I tested plugged in without effects, and it sound so much nicer then my Seymour Duncan Woodie. I condensor microphone with the magnetic pick ups make all the difference. Sounds full just like if I am play not amplified instead of the tinny sound you get from piezo pickups and does pound muddy at all.you can naturally hear the sound your supposed to hear. I love it!
