I purchased the RGIB6 on a whim after deciding I wanted lower tunings but did not want to move to a 7 or 8 string. I haven't been disappointed! With the factory D'Addario NYXL strings, this guitar can comfortably achieve tunings down to Drop G---any lower and I would recommend getting heavier gauge strings. Out of the box, I was amazed at how playable it really is. Came perfectly tuned in B standard, plays wonderfully. Required minimal changes to the action for my preferences and it was good to go. I don't use the killswitch for anything fancy, but it is nice to have a quick way to silence the guitar without moving my volume knob. The EMG's are...well...they are EMG's. The 60 is my preferred neck pickup---it cleans up VERY well, and the 81 sounds great when you really push it. The bridge on the guitar is very solid and easily adjustable for intonation and action. I would prefer locking tuners, but the stock ones do just fine. They adjust nicely and hold a tune very well. Neck is superb; very thin and fast for my hands. No fret buzz, no dead spots, no sharp frets. The finish on the guitar is perfect, but it is shiny black so it's a bit of a fingerprint magnet---hardly anyone's fault, just the way it goes.
