zZounds Gear Experts Say...
With its traditional parlor body shape and its Butterbean open-gear tuners, the Ibanez AVN1 Artwood acoustic guitar has a charming vintage look and feel.
Overview
The Ibanez AVN1BS parlor guitar -- also known as "The New Yorker" -- is a charmingly intimate guitar that recalls instruments so popular in the early 20th Century. With it's short scale Mahogany neck, and 12th fret body joint, it is extremely inviting and comfortable to play. A solid Sitka Spruce top, mahogany back and sides and bone nut and saddle make for an incredibly responsive, warm sound that is sure to surprise and delight. Other features include a Rosewood bridge and fretboard, Abalone rosette, and a vintage brown sunburst high gloss finish. A set of chrome, turn-of-the-century, Butterbean open gear tuners complete the ol'-timey vibe.
Considering the Ibanez "modern approach to acoustic guitar tradition" -- it's evident that the company's Artwood Series of acoustic instruments has not only long been a source of pride, but also an intense labor of love. Now, with the Artwood Vintage Series, Ibanez looks to the past for inspiration with this line of historically influenced instruments.

I was surprised. I got a blem model and can't find one thing wrong with this guitar. It's beautifully built and sounds huge. I build and buy and sell guitars all the time, but this one is a keeper. Light weight, easy to just sling around. Just love the sound of it. I highly recommend this one.
