Auto-fault mode. Fan cooled. Slave output jack.

The all-tube SVT-AV is a direct descendent of the original SVT head, but with modern enhancements like a 5-position mid frequency selector, input gain, master volume, and tube protection circuitry. By using six 6550 power tubes and original tranformer technology, Ampeg creates the classic tone of the '60s and '70s that others can only try to emulate.

i cant see my self changing it .........now if stolen i pity the guy if i catch him ,i would replace it yes in a minute .the only complaint is the wieght then again i am the only one who moves it just i am very carefull with it.

Sound
this product sounds very clear an punchy ,sound quality is great.this amp is very versatile .if you run the master wide open an over bias the tubes it has the vintage svt waiting there ,my musical style is hard rock from the 80,s an 70,s .black sabbath cream style.i do van -halen old cover songs an this amp hits the tone dead on .i hear people say that the orginal was this or that .i believe this amp is just as good ,every style an song i play it cuts through massive walls of guitar .i use the yorkville 8x8 with my head an a 2001 amercian jass bass .dont let anyone influence your sound be the judge with your ears ,this amp does rocks

Features
this amp is a rock bass players best friend .the features are simple but are all thats needed .i love the tube protection instead of burning out resitors or voltage diodes .it shuts down an saves you money .hands down if you dont have good tubes ,you shouldnt be playing with this amp .maintain it an it will take anything you can dish at it

Ease of Use
the manual was simple an percise .i followed the rock setting .an worked from there sounded great .with this setting try smoke on the water with a fender p or jazz bass read more an tell me it doesnt nail that tone .i had trace elliot traynor ,not even close an the traynor was the new one yba 200 .the ampeg was so dead on in tone my drummer noticed all the nuances with the sound

Quality
this is my second on this product my first i sold after 7 years of playing .tried a combo big mistake .the first one was reliable an tough .i believe it will be reliable ,treat it with respect an ease when moving an it should be there night after night

Value
for me it was costly then i realized the tone was worth it .no more questioning amps or wondering .this amp to me has it all covered .you get what you pay for.
