At least I know what to expect with American DJ / American Audio: Low prices and low quality. EVERY piece of equipment I have purchased from them over the past 3 years has required repair before it could work as advertised. FX lighting, up-lighting, VMS4, and now this. The left side blower was not working, so I had to open the unit up and troubleshoot. Sure enough, there was a lose wire. One that had apparently never been attached and would have caused a failure upon inspection, had one ever been done. Luckily it was just a matter of opening the wire clamp and inserting the wire. In the past I have tried to get service for ADJ equipment, but they want to do shipping/wait/repair/return which is inconvenient. Much easier to return to the vendor, or if you don't mind using a soldering iron and voltmeter, just repair it yourself. The designs are good in general, just poor manufacturing and quality control (China) so you know the problem is usually something trivial. I also purchase some Chauvet equipment which is about the same level of quality, and same price range. Other than that, it does blow nice bubbles if you use decent fluid, and isn't overly loud, especially when music is playing. Does have a bit of a problem with spraying popped bubble fluid on the surface in front of the unit, but that's really only with cheapo fluid. Other bubble machines are usually not quite so convenient. I hate how they use an IEC power plug outlet for the remote control connection, but that's just me. I wouldn't suggest any ADJ (nor Chauvet) equipment, including this unit, to anyone who can afford something better unless I know they are willing to make repairs themselves.
