Adam Audio S2V Studio Monitor

German-Made, Professional Grade

Producers know that if you can't trust your studio monitors, you can't trust the mix you're working on. That's why ADAM Audio engineers have gone to painstaking lengths in crafting the S2V active studio monitor. Built in Germany, the S2V features ADAM's familiar understated style and ribbon tweeter, but this monitor enters new territory with powerful DSP on board, and some of the most advanced materials and build techniques ADAM has ever implemented in a nearfield monitor.

Needless to say, we're pretty impressed by the S2V. Read on to find out more reasons why!

Top Components for Top Sound

Adam Audio S2V Studio Monitor
ADAM Audio held nothing back in the production of these S2V. Look up top, and you'll find a ribbon tweeter -- the type ADAM has made its name on. But the S-ART tweeter found in this speaker is unlike any you've heard before. Handmade in Berlin, the S-ART is built with the tightest tolerances ADAM has ever achieved in a tweeter. Powered by 50 watts of Class A/B power, the S-ART delivers pristine highs that traditional tweeters can't even touch.

The dense rigidity of the HexaCone speaker grille was developed alongside the basket to help stop unwanted resonance and coloration. Driving the woofer is a 300-watt Class D amplifier paired with a voice coil that boasts 3 times the maximum excursion rate of previous ADAM speakers, thanks to its custom-designed symmetrical magnet assembly. In other words, the S2V stays clean even when it gets loud (and it does get loud!)

Tune to Your Room with DSP

Adam Audio S2V Studio Monitor
Of course, even the world's best monitors can sound different from room to room. That's where the S2V's powerful digital signal processing comes in. Via a rotary knob and LCD screen on the back panel, you can fine-tune the S2V's crossover to suit your room or listening space. By finding the right preset on the S2V -- or by dialing in your ideal crossover manually -- you'll be able to get consistent, accurate monitoring in any scenario.

Want to hear how other speakers might treat your mix? Adjust the EQ mix and crossover to get the feel of a car stereo or Bluetooth speaker. The S2V's DSP also controls its high-frequency driver protection, helping ensure a long life for your monitors. And you can connect your S2V to your computer to install updates, and fine-tune DSP settings remotely.

Shaped for Sound

Adam Audio S2V Studio Monitor
The S2V is housed in a chassis designed from the ground up by ADAM in Berlin. Its corners were thoughtfully sculpted to help reduce the undesirable effects of vibration and edge diffraction. The two front bass ports help reduce low-end compression and also make the S2V more versatile as far as where it can be placed in your room.

The HPS waveguide is another key ingredient in helping the S2V achieve its brilliant high-frequency response. Crafted from a single block of aluminum and engineered for an extra-wide sweet spot, ADAM designed the HPS to be a perfect companion for the S-ART.

Goes Great With:

Adam Audio S2V Studio Monitor
Complete your ADAM monitor setup with a second S2V monitor, then add a studio subwoofer for accurate monitoring of sub-bass frequencies. We recommend the ADAM Sub 10 or Sub 12.

Optimize your monitors with a pair of monitor stands, and get your speakers in the perfect position and angle for de-coupled, uncolored sound.

Finally, if you're in a mixing space that isn't acoustically treated, the acoustic foam and panels will go a long way. Tame sonic reflections and bass buildup so you've got an accurate listening environment.
